Bad news fr Trick if it's true but good news for his opponents.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think so, as KB has not been called in to the meeting. Adder
This topic is covered on the betting thread, he has injured his back and is sitting out the practise today. He will decide tomorrow whether to attempt riding or not.
shazzybird
Great Pizzas are on order, beers in the fridge (along with cola for the kids) and now I might have to console an 8 year old TRick fan
ZKZ Kitten
"Tony Rickardsson is nursing a painful back injury in the build-up to Saturday's opening Grand Prix of the season at Wroclaw. The five-times World Champion crashed in heat 16 of Masarna's 48-48 draw at Vargarna on Tuesday night. His lower back is currently black and blue and he was considering sitting out today's (Friday) practice session. Though Rickardsson got back on his bike to win the re-run of heat 16 - to complete a 15-point maximum - he said: "It took me about 10 minutes before regaining the feeling in the lower back and it was very painful sitting on the bike." That would be all I know...
Dicey
I can't see this keeping him out of the Gp , especially as he got back on his bike and won the race. Some Physio and he will be fine , probably just miss practice.
garf
If going for a new championship, which I suppose they all are, then it is to expensive not being in one meeting as the competition usually are pretty close in the GP serie. SCB
Remember the opening round in 2000? Mark Loram only turned up to get his guanrenteed poitns having bene injured the week before, it was his bets GP of the season, missing th win by half a bike. I won't be supprised it TRick scores 3,3,3,N,N then wins the meeting!
f-s-p
I think Trick is one of the biggest favourites for the title, if not the biggest. But this year you really have to make the finals! Last year if you didnt make it to the final, you were left with 13 or 11 in the semi's, this year you could end up with only 8, depending how good it went in the qualifying heats. Hope Trick makes it, because this year you have to ride for every point!

tarabanko
Tony Rickardsson was one of the fastest on the training today. Theyd shown a few minutes on Swedish Telly from the practice and Rickardsson looked good. Tony Rickardsson is a tiger and hate to lose, so he will for sure be one of the main mens up there tommorow for sure. AJ did have problems with his engines and on top of that they had spelled his afternamne wrong, JONNSON it stood, bad. Antonio was really up for it to be a part of the gp series this year. Come on you SWEDES!!!
Silver Bee
My God, how tacky do ricko's leathers look?! Shame about AJ, probably left his 1 good bike behind. Edited April 30, 2005 by Silver Cheetah
scottymelloty
Taken from Tony's website GP Practise Tony came to Wroclaw, Poland today. He, together with the team felt he had to give it a try at the practise. - The bike felt good and the track looks just fine, says Tony. Tony did only one session at the practise. - The pain got worse after the first session so it was an easy decision not to go out for the second session. Sandie
Thank you Rob for changing the name of this thread. 'Rickardson out' was a little dramatic so I am pleased you changed it. Pleased to see he was at practice today (or is that yesterday now in Polish time!) and hopefully able to ride tomorrow (or is that today.....)
