Anyone Seen Who Is Singing At Brit Gp This Year?

Recommended Posts

it wont be Elton John he will be at Goodbye Highfield rd concert in coventry
Thank God for that.
Shakin' Stevens or G4 ?
Now you're just trying to scare us....

They should do whatever it takes to get Tony Christie there, but realistically I can't see that they could afford him.

So you can probably expect to see the usual. i.e. an old has been (Suzi Quatro, Tony Hadley etc) or an unfamous nobody (Edwin Star, Javine, those two blues brothers blokes who were plucked out of the crowd etc).

Isn't Gary Glitter back in the country now?

Steve Piper does a great Country gig and his prices are very reasonable  :P  Trouble is the biggest crowd he has played to this year is about 50

George is glad there's no stereo in the van

Very good Tim :o ,but are the 50 people the figure at the start of his act,or the ones who cant make the exits before the doors are locked :approve:

How about Max Boyce, always gets the rugby crowd going at cardiff followed by the manic street preachers who in turn always get the football crowd going at cardiff ;)

Oh Heck No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;)

That would mean having Matt Ford singing (and that boy cannot sing!)  sorry Shaz but that is a definite NO!

I remember singing "Mustang Sally" with Boycie - along time ago -

I think he may have forgotten and I hope everyone else has too :D

It could well be Martin Fry. Remember him from ABC ?

I was talking to John Poss about it last year at Bydgoszcz and he said that it would possibly be Fry + maybe Tony Hadley.

Tried to persuade him to book The Specials who are now gigging again but don't think that he is in to them.

Might not please some people but I like it. :approve:

There is another ABBA tribute band called Smackee who we go to see in Leicester every year. http://www.smackee.com/

They also do a show featuring songs from musicals but both of their shows are brilliant.

Must admit I've never seen Bjorn Again so I'm looking forward to it. Everyone likes ABBA don't they?

Can't stand Abba. They were the epitemy of bad taste when they were around. The Nolans of the 70's and 80's to most people with decent musical taste.

Strangely they came into vogue well after their demise, when suddenly their pop music became for some reason fashionable.

As a jazz funker from the 70s/80s, I dislike them with a passion.
