Gemini
Tony McDonald, editor of The Backtrack magazine. 45? Gosh that's a mere youngster. Happy Birthday Tony.

Gemini
I take it you are of a certain age then.
Addy
We geminis (Jo , Bryn & Gem) tend not to be chronologically challenged Age is just a measurement of time - and not a personal attribute. It's the person that matters imo
KevH
So how old are you Addy?
KevH
I take it you are of a certain age then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well yes, but I've always liked you anyway.
Joanne
Tony McDonald, was he a rider anytime? Addy, I am chronologically challenged (whatever that means ). I am quite happy to say I was born when England won the World Cup. After next year I won't be chronologically challenged. By the way Addy, who was No1 in the charts when you were born ? Addy
My dislike of agism comes from when I worked in the NHS and I saw, and still see, people being diagnosed and treated on the basis of their age. This includes those who are considered too young to have an illness. I know of a few cancers being missed because the person wasn't in the right age group for that type of cancer. Hopefully this will be eradicated when the Age Discrimination Act comes in next year.
TonyMac
Thanks Bryn and all... I've just got my breath back from blowing out the candles. Still, I only feel 44! Joanne. Me, a former rider? I did once ride pillion on Barry Thomas' bike at Iwade circa 1973!
KevH
By the way Addy, who was No1 in the charts when you were born ? You didn't answer the question Addy, are you practising to be a politician?
shazzybird
Didn't answer the age one either Kev ;-) But then you should NEVER ask a lady her age.!!
KevH
Sorry Shazz, you'll have to give me a course on social etiquette.
Joanne
Sorry Shazz, you'll have to give me a course on social etiquette. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is that how to eat with a knife and fork, Kev ?
AndyM
As a veteran of 45 already, I can assure everyone that you feel no different to when you were 18, but your body can't quite keep up with your mind! Other times, you feel ready for the knacker's yard, but keep going regardless. It's a barrel of laughs, so keep smiling!
Grachan
The good thing is that no matter how old I get or feel, I will always have the satisfaction of knowing that TMC left school, worked for the MOD and had the 'you've been to Poland so you must be a spy' interrogation a year before I did. It must be hard being 45. Forty-four is so much younger. Actually, I just realised I'm still 43. The first sign that you're getting on a bit is when you have to mathematically work out how old you are rather than knowing it automatically. I'm a year younger than I thought! Result (as those young people say).
Joanne
Grachan, I am going to Poland twice this year Well, at least you have been on a speedway bike, tmc, so that makes you a rider sort of
KevH
Is that how to eat with a knife and fork, Kev ? Yep, you've got it Jo - that's a good teacher you've got there.
