Matt Davis
Swindon Speedway is now looking to purchase Jonas Davidsson outright, as the rider has this afternoon (4 March) put in for a full transfer from parent club Oxford. Promoter Alun Rossiter confirmed the news, stating: ‘Jonas has made the decision himself, as he would dearly love to ride for Swindon. Former-Robin Peter Nahlin and 1990 World Champion Per Jonsson have both spoken well of Jonas, and I feel sure he would come in and do a good job for us. Further evidence that Jonas is going places is that he has been chosen to represent Sweden in the new junior World Cup, alongside Antonio Lindback, Fredrik Lindgren and our earlier signing Sebastian Alden.’ OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE BY ROBERT BAMFORD Anyone know anything about this? GB weren't originally entered, but thankfully the BSPA had second thoughts and we are now in it (in the qualifier at Abensberg as Lucky Star has pointed out).
