Brian Crutcher And Speedway In The 50's

I am researching for a book on the speedway career of Brian Crutcher. The book will also provide a social history of speedway during the 1950's.

I would very much like to hear from anyone who can remember and describe seeing Brian Crutcher ride.

I would also like to hear from people who went to speedway at Poole, Wembley of Southampton during the 1950's.

If you feel you can help, please contact me for more information.

Many thanks

Tomw

Good to hear there is going to be a book about Brian Crutcher. A great rider. One of the main candidates for greatest rider never to win the World Championship.

Unfortunately I never saw him as he retired the day I went to my first speedway meeting back in 1960. I've always felt somehow responsible for his retirement!

Good luck with the book.
