Guest CrossOwl
What a shame that so many of the good old tracks have been closed. Remember Belle Vue, St Austell, Cradley Heath, Leiceter, Norwich, Stoke (Sun Street), White City, Hackney, Wembley ?......unfortunately the list goes on and on.. how sad when I hold so many good memories of them! spin king
Have to agree and the new one that come along all tend to be very small tracks, no tracks these days for riders to have a good blast.
Scunny Stag
Great memories of defunct tracks at The Speedwayplus website If anyone has any pictures of old tracks I'd urge you to add them to the this tremendous archive so that they can be preserved and presented to all. Spin King, Have you been to Scunthorpe yet? I like to think that the track is big enough to have a blast at..... or maybe I'm deluding myself. It's not as big as Sheffield or Kings Lynn but like Trelawny it's hardly any straight and long bends.

Gemini
we havent had speedway here since about 81. October 1983 to be exact. I'll believe Leicester have a new track when I'm standing on the terraces with my old Red/Yellow scarf on.
