Guest Aussie Dirtdingo Throttlejockey
It would appear the boofheads from MANSW AND MA Plastic HQ are at it again when it comes to Gosford. This time they are squeezing Poolie yet again over fixtures. If these dudes persist with this current line of dealing with speedways around the nsw and the country people like Terry will ultimately feel the pinch and the real threat is he might pull out of the game altogether. Then where are we friggin left with in NSW Speedway wise. A few regional meetings down at the Ranch, the odd meeting during the Winter at Nepean and most the bigger title meetings will go across the ranges to Tamworth and a one off down at Newcastle.............Bugga that. Anyone here serious about Gosford and its future should email off a rocket up the asses of those at the above mentioned and tell em like it is about on going situation this summer with regards to Gosford and Terry..............No problemo ............<<HERE ENDTH THE LESSON>> " Je Ne Regretable" Press release from Peter White. This concerns the meeting which was scheduled AFTER the NSW Solo Championships. From Peter White Written: Friday, January 14 GOSFORD SPEEDWAY … Saturday, January 29 race meeting postponed GOSFORD Speedway promoter Terry Poole today announced the race meeting scheduled for Saturday, January 29 has been postponed to Easter. Poole said he had little option but to change his date, extending his season by one meeting, when Motorcycling Australia sanctioned the staging of the Australian Under 21 Solo Championship at Tamworth for the same date. "I am unhappy about having to disrupt my own programme again and it is unfair because I had set out Gosford's race dates well before any other track last winter and this conflict should not have arisen as Gosford had already claimed that date," said Poole. "But what was I to do when MA ran roughshod over me again and delivered that particular date to Tamworth? We can't run at Gosford the same night because too many of our competitors are involved in the championship at Tamworth." The Gosford fixture will now be held on Easter Eve (Easter Saturday night, March 26). The next race meeting at Gosford is the NSW Solo Championship on Saturday, January 22. This will be followed by another meeting on Saturday, February 12. The calendar for the remainder of the season therefore reads: Saturday, January 22 (NSW Solo Championship) Saturday, February 12 Saturday, February 26 Saturday, March 12 Saturday, March 26 (Easter)
Guest Lissa
I read about this yesterday.. and even though I am severly annoyed at them doing this to Terry.. again.. I am also kinda pleased, coz it now gives me the chance to go to Tamworth if I want to... and not have to miss out on a Gosford round!! But honestly.. I don't know how he can still want to do what he is doing for Speedway, when he does the right thing and it still gets thrown back in his face!!!!.... poor bugger!!!
