Guest BilaHora
Ms Joanne I prefer Czech Airlines out of Edinburgh - they have Business Class. As regards Prague Castle, you can get a single ticket that allows entrance to all the main sites in the castle. The Old Royal Palace, Cathedral of St Vitas and Golden Lane are a must. Joanne
Thanks for the advice Bilahora on the castle. Looked really nice from the tram. I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you Scottish? Been wondering for a while.
Guest BilaHora
Ms Joanne I am from Northumberland and English, which, I imagine, is a great relief to the Scots. Regards BilaHora Edited January 1, 2005 by BilaHora

Guest BilaHora
Ms Joanne That sounds awfully like the RAF. My grandmother lives in Longhoughton (at least, she did the last I heard). Regards BilaHora

Regards BilaHora <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats correct, Biilahora You should visit your Grandmother Anyway, about Prague, is it better to book online tours before you go or when you get there. I normally just wander around getting lost and visiting places by chance, hence the 'Get Lost with Joanne title'
Guest BilaHora
Ms Joanne The first guide book I bought for Prague maintained that one of the great delights of Prague was in getting lost. However, should you want a more organised tour, the Cloister Inn has a selection of leaflets for guided tours in reception. Probably the best of Prague's walks is the so-called "Royal Route" which follows the coronation processions of the kings of Bohemia. It starts at the Powder Tower, adjacent to the Municipal House, goes through the Old Town Square, across Charles Bridge and up to Prague Castle. As a walk it is, I believe, a little more than one mile and very worthwhile. Regards BilaHora Edited January 1, 2005 by BilaHora
Tsunami
iris123 Kathrine Tickell played the Northumbrian pipes at the opening of our new Sage building (looks like a silver peanut) beside the Millenium Bridge. She looks a bit Sheryl Crowe ish and is probably the only female exponent of the pipes. A nice local lass.

Guest BilaHora
Miss SullyRox I have always had excellent service from Czech Airlines. As Mr Rob B says they are the "...flag carrier" in the Czech Republic and part of the "Sky Team" alliance. Regards BilaHora

Excitement in Prague or no excitement at Silverstone(plus a sore credit card) Sullyrox, you can't persuade our mate Addy to come as well, can you?. Chris Brown
I booked a flight for 14 people to Prague for the Golden Helmet weekend just before Xmas with Easyjet out of Nottingham for £52 pp. So far I have flown to Prague with Czech Airlines, BMIBaby and Easyjet and only had an issue with BMI where I couldn't get on the return flight and had to be transferred to Easyjet. Paid £150 with CSA, and around £50 with the other two. All flights have been on time except a 3 hour delay leaving Nottingham with BMI in 2003 To be honest on a 90 minute flight I can do without an airline meal and I am happy to save £100 by doing that. Rob B
£90 CSA, £115 BMI Baby. Edited January 4, 2005 by Rob B
Chris Brown
£90 CSA, £115 BMI Baby. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For the Czech Golden Helmet weekend going Wed 28 Sept PM and coming back Tuesday 4 Oct Evening Easyjet - £52 BMIBaby - £85 Czech Airlines - £161 I guess it depends on when you want to go but for me in September I stand by my £100 difference. The Easyjet price was for a booking of 14 people, the other two for for single travellers. If you increase the CZA booking to the max allowed in one transaction (5 people) the price goes to £200.70 each. So I reckon I am saving £2080 on my 14 bookings. I reckon I could buy a few airline meals for that
Chris Brown
Should have added that if you want to fly from the south to Prague for thr GP weekend you can do it for £65 out of Stansted, £65 out of Gatwick or £100 from Nottingham going Friday coming back Sunday with Easyjet Edited January 4, 2005 by Chris Brown
