Martin
A group of Reading fans are looking for a hotel as close to the track as possible. I expect it's likely to be fully booked, but when we went to Krsko last year there was a hotel across the road not far from the track. Does anyone know the name of the hotel and any contact details? If anyone knows of any other places to stay in or near to Krsko, please post details. Thanks Martin
tomazpozrl
Hi Martin. I'm not quite sure which hotel you have in your mind, but the only hotel that is near the stadium and across the road is "Pacific" hotel. The other hotel in Krsko is Hotel Sremic - it's the biggest one and probably worth checking, although it is usually fully booked well in advance. I think most of the riders and officials stay in Terme Catez area which is approximately 14 km outside Krsko. There are 3 hotels and a campsite in the area. http://www.terme-catez.si/en/ For contact information for all these hotels and also other accomodation possibilities in the area, please visit Posavje tourism information website : http://www.posavje-turizem.com/en/index.htm Edited January 3, 2005 by tomazpozrl

POSAVJE is the name of the region that includes 3 communities: Krsko, Brezice and Sevnica. Thats pretty much it about accomodation, if you check one of those places listed now, it shouldnt be a problem to get a room. Well, its true that those places that are listed in town KRSKO are closest to the stadium but places in town BREZICE (like Terme Catez) are also pretty close. It helps when you have a car though... Martin
Thanks Tomaz and Sunnygirl for accomodation info. Do you know when the GP tickets are likely to go on sale? Thanks Martin
sunnygirl
Hi Martin! Hmm... If I were you, I wouldnt expect tickets to go on sale in the near future. Unfortunately, I agree... But I think they should be out in March, April. I will let you know when that happens! Regards
Timbo
Hi Sunnygirl and Tomaz (and any others who have been to the Slovenian GP). Do you know whether the practice session on the Friday before the meeting is open to the public, and if it is, when does it take place. I'm just wondering whether to get to Slovenia on the Thursday or the Friday. Thanks in anticipation.
tomazpozrl
Hi Timbo Yes, the practice session is open to public. It takes place at 3 pm on Friday. If my memory serves me right, there was an entrance fee of around 4 Euros for sectors D and E last year, while those with tickets for sectors A, B and C were allowed to watch the practice for free. I'm sure sunnygirl will correct me, if I'm wrong.
sunnygirl
Hi! Tomaz, your info is correct. Although Im not sure about the time because its not always 3pm. Depends on time of year and weather conditions. On 28th May it will probably be 3pm! Timbo, welcome to Krsko!
