BIKES BACK AT KWINANA

One of the highlights of the opening 'Fast Friday' meeting at the Quit

Motorplex Kwinana Beach on October 29 was the return of the Solo

motorcycles for the first times in several years.

Eight riders were on hand, with some swapping of bikes going on in the

pits.

The racing action was pretty good with a total of six events being held

on the night.

Man of the meeting was Shannon Wearne who won the first four events -

then crossed the line second in both of the following handicaps.

Good to see Corey Blackman racing again in WA following his stint in

Britain.

Corey scored two seconds and a third in his three rides at the meeting.

His brother Lee Blackman was the best of the rest, notching several

placings but also getting a couple of exclusions for detouring out onto

the car track.

Also looking good - and gaining valuable experience - was youngster

Carly Gittus.

Also enjoying their first outing for many months were Mark Jovic,

newcomer Casey Johansen, Nigel Roberts and Troy Tomlinson.
