tomazpozrl
FIM congress started on sunday in Paris, so I think we can expect some news on wild cards by the end of this week.

Guest BilaHora
All My guesses: Ryan Sullivan - proven winner Hans Andersen - Grand Prix winner during 2004 Bjarne Pedersen - Grand Prix winner during 2004 Scott Nicholls - probably have qualified but for injury Matej Zagar - deserves a chance Regards BilaHora
jeffster
Details released tomorrow, apparently.... A Danish newspaper had said that Hans & Bjarne are two of the seeded riders...
Guest BilaHora
Mr jeffster I based my guesses on the interview given by the chief executive of Benfield Sports International (easier to write than his name) during the Norwegian Grand Prix. He said, if I remember, that the fifteen riders would all be capable of winning a grand prix, which leans heavily towards Sullivan, Andersen and Pedersen. I am guessing Nicholls' injury will be factored in. As for Zagar - a wild guess. Regards BilaHora

Also, despite being a Reading fan, I'd say Robert Miskowiak should be ahead of Matej Zagar on any list of getting a place. Due to the fact Miskowiak won the World Under 21's. And next season in my opinion the qualification should be: Top 10 Top 3 from World U21 2 From a Challenge meeting between the remaining 5 from the GP + wildcards etc... Guest BilaHora
Mr tomhaines I know this is terribly ignorant of me, but what nationality is Robert Miskowiak? I would guess that, should he be Polish, the presence of three Poles already qualified would rule him out. As for Lee Richardson, I take your point completely but, as a personal view point, I think Nicholls has more chance of winning a grand prix. Regards BilaHora (the ignorant)

gooner_girl4eva
Any news on the wildcards today as Jeffster said he thought they were going to be announced today?? I dont like all this waiting!!
Shalewhale
I still don't think Banananananana Pedersen (aka cardboard cutout) will get in. I reckon it'll be 2 Brits, 1 Dane, 1 Czech and 1 Slovenian or Norwegian.
tomhaines
The only reason one of the Czech's would get in is if the choices are made politically. Which i hope they arent. Fairest choice is the next 5. It isn't like previous years where a rider outside that next 5 has spent alot of the season injured and has missed a large ammount of GP's as a result. As far as I can remember, we only had 3 riders miss a GP through injury: Hampel: Qualified anyway Nicholls: Inside that next 5 L Dryml: Very much outside the top '13' even before he missed Norway
sian01
wild cards are richardson nicholls andersen pedersen sullivan
Guest BilaHora
All The inclusion of two British riders is surely political. I would have given a berth to Lukas Dryml, Rune Holta and Matej Zagar before Lee Richardson. Regards BilaHora (four out of five was not bad)
JT
What a load of rubbish! Lukas Dryml - Lost anything he had with that crash last season and was in 2004 not only back to his dreary self but also crap with it, how can you say a rider finishing 22nd is worthy of a GP place the following season? Rune Holta - Had one decent meeting last season in Poland when he reached the final, almost always falls off when a rider gets within a 10m radius of him, seems to lose his bottle when it comes to the crunch! Matej Zagar - Forgot about Bjerre and Iversen? Two young riders who beat the likes of Rickardsson on their way to the semi finals all in their first Grand Prix, Zagar got to 8 points in what wasn't his first Grand Prix! In my opinion the choices that have been made are the obvious ones as all 5 of these riders can reach the top of the sport!
Guest BilaHora
Mr JT Well, I suppose that puts me in my place. Regards BilaHora
