Undercover Elephant
Thats the trouble, people are entitled to come on hear and moan about Hans but all you do-gooders are short in the brain when it came to the WC. It will take some people longer than others to forgive Hans. If I want to have a pop at him I will. Flaming hell mate I hope nothing bad happens in your life or you'll be suicidal. All riders risk life and limb everytime they race so if you can't appreciate that and you're going to have a pop at Hans for something so petty then stay at home. Try telling that to Scott Nicholls, Mark Loram, Lee Richardson, David Norris, Gary Havelock, Joe Screen, Neil Middleditch and fans alike who pay to watch these riders risk their lives on a daily basis........and then have our hopes and dreams crushed by a liar and a crook like Hans. Tell me if those riders have forgotton about it. I bet your house that Floppy hasn't. I may be starting to come around to the idea about moving on and not because a minority of people on hear have mentioned that. Just listening to Hans give his reasons post race on what happened in the last heat jsut makes me want to puke. I enjoyed watching the like on Scotty race for the Witches but as some have said already, as long as Hans Anderssen is racing in the UK for the Whiches or any other team in the future, I will not pay my money to watch him. I'm sure you'll be truly missed - Not. You're probably a Mildenhall supporter or something anyways and would never have the opportunity to see him. Get over it, put another record on. Tell me if those riders have forgotton about it. I bet your house that Floppy hasn't. I'm sorry but thats one of the biggest overstatements I've ever come across, my hopes and dreams don't depend on us winning the world cup in any sport and if your's do i suggest you get a reality check, otherwise you'll die VERY disappointed! No you're not betting my house, maybe you'd like to bet your own though if your so confident eh? As for Floppy, seeing as he was headed for the scrap heap until last year i suspect he's simply glad to be involved in all this, better to have loved and lost etc! The thing you forget is that NOBODY is FORGETTING, simply moving on! Edited August 24, 2004 by General Melchitt
SCB
"Oh how quickly the so called Team GB fans forget! Hmmm, or could it be we can apreciate good riding when it happens so as well as slagging off and moaning about the bad we also praise and congratulate the good? Try it sometime! Guest Jim Blanchard
Maybe Robyn, but I dont think so. I know I have my little digs at Garf because he is so 'up for it' but I guess HA won the Swedish GP fair and square and that can only be congratulated. Even if you still have the needle with the man... I said in another thread that its time to move on, and a couple of weeks ago before emabarking on business trip that included the Ulster Grand Prix. A young racer there from Scotland lost his life and three are very seriously injured. Also, spectator recieved a broken leg (General Melchet your banter did help me a lot there...on Sunday night) I returned to a receive faxed order from a vey good customer and friend in Germany and when I rang them this morning the dear lady had been killed in track crash at the Sachsenring circuit on Monday. I dont want to be morbid and depress everyone but what has wrankled with me on this HA and the WSC business is why not, as in other professional sports (look whats going on in the Olympics..) why did not the officials of this meeting look at the video evidence, interview the riders and make a decision that would clear Andersen or punish him. Or conviene a date for a future enquiry. I feel certain that if he had been found culpable as in F1, MotoGP, horse racing, Ahtletics etc Sweden would have relegated to 2nd place, I have no doubt about this. The referee should have also been accountable if his decisons were in anyway suspect or biased. If HA had been vindicated there would have been some closure. I actually blame the governing bodies for all this forure. 'Congratulations' as the thread says, and now all get on with your lives. Everyone. KevH
I fully support the excellent idea proposed by JB in the above post. That would, as he says, resolve the matter once and for all. And I'm genuinely sorry to hear about recent events - things like that really do put things in perspective!

I actually blame the governing bodies for all this forure. Hey Mr B - didn't it say in the speedway star that the FIM had not allocated any blame to HA. I guess they have investigated it and decided that HA wasn't guilty, saying that i'm sure they have also investigated the ref for his dodgy decisions. All teams had 30 mins after the event to post an official complaint as when the jury met at 11pm no charges were brought forward (so a little bird tells me). Maybe no compliant - no investigation. I hear what you are saying about inquiries but there is always a jury meeting after every FIM event and no results stand until this has been carried out. I to agree this chapter should be closed - theres more to life?
SCB
Would seem for once that speedway had sorted this problem out (at least how the officials see fit) within hours of the meeting, not weeks or month later.
Star Lady
Even if the jury meeting had been better publicised and posted on this forum, there would still have been those that would alledge some of the jury members had taken a kick (or should it be a bung )

Despite of our little battle of words, opinion or digs, as you say, Jim, I can not agree more about your opinion regarding the negative track the sport in general is riding at for the moment. Another thing is I believe that the ref. primarely task is to secure the riders, which might be done through a clear definition of consequenses of act, and the refs willing to follow those.
