Team Assesments

Recommended Posts

OK we have established that Hans Andersen is officialy the biggest pil*ck in speedway but what did you think of the the teams tonight?

Sweden 1st

1.Mikael Max - The inconsistency he seems to have picked up since changing his name was evident here, showed moments of the old Karlsson but was subdued at other times. *** - 3 stars

2.Tony Rickardsson - Immense, had a strange last place in between four brilliant rides not all from the start! ****/* 4.5 stars

3.Antonio Lindback - Had a nervous start but made up for it with some exciting racing, not the best meeting I have seen him ride but quality none the less! *** - 3 stars

4.Andreas Jonsson - Came good when it mattered, was always exciting but not at his best. ** - 2 Stars

5.Peter Karlsson - Why oh why hasn't a British team snapped him up yet? Like Rickardsson a superb performance, after an exclusion in his first ride. ****/* 4.5 stars

TeamGB 2nd

1.David Norris - Sadly had a poor first and last ride, other than that he was immense and showed why if he makes the Grand Prixs next year either through the Vojens final or as a GP seed he will be a force to be wreckoned with! ***/* - 3.5 stars

2.Lee Richardson - After a nightmare first couple of rides we could not have asked for more from Rico! ***/* - 3.5 stars

3.Mark Loram - Brilliant Loram riding, never gave up, Loram at his best at a track that will always be his home, would have placed him in Scott Nicholls place for him to ride in that last heat decider! ****/* 4.5 stars

4.Scott Nicholls - Looked slightly off the pace after a great first ride, gave it his all which is all you can ask for really, just a shame he saw a red light! **/* 2.5 stars.

5.Gary Havelock - Joint man of the match for me along with Loram, one of the best races for a long time with Rempala and was unlucky not to score two more! ****/* 4 stars.

TeamDanmark 3rd

1.Hans Andersen - Cheating prat who has lost the respect I had for him, was putting on a good show untill he cheated. -***** minus 5 stars!

2.Nicki Pedersen - Nothing like the real Nicki Pedersen, usually so good in big meetings a Poole was awful tonight! * - 1star

3.Kenneth Bjerre - Lost any control when he got into the dirt and ran into the fence, a forgettable performance apart from his first ride! */* 1.5 stars

4.Niels Kristian Iversen - Had a meeting to forget really on a track he seems to dislike, was however one of two Danes to win a race and what a brilliant race it was, interesting to see how similar his and Lorams styles were when they were racing neck and neck! ** - 2stars

5.Bjarne Pedersen - Was always in the action but never won a race! **/* - 2.5stars

Poland 4th

1.Krzystof Kasprzak - Rubbish! - 0 stars!

2.Tomasz Gollob - Rubbish untill his last ride where he still wasn't very good! /* 0.5 stars

3.Jaraslow Hampel - Another rubbish performance from a GP rider mixed with a couple of average rides! */* 1.5 stars

4.Janusz Kolodziej - The first time I have seen him and what a brilliant display he gave, was fast willing to mix and and is another one to add to the list of future GP stars that will ensure the future series is exciting! **** - 4 stars

5.Marcin Rempla - Incredible ability to turn the bike on a six pence, remenicent of Gollob his ride with Havelock was one of the best ever live on SKY! ***/* - 3.5 stars
