Time to go oh Middlo

Middlo has the one thing that makes the difference between a good team manager & a great team manager..110% passion. He & everyone who rode for team GP in this years world cup deserve a massive pat on the back.

 

In the end I don't think the heat 25 incident made any difference to the overall score, & Sweden deserved to win, but having said that, I sincerely hope that the odious little Danish toad who happens to ride for Ipswich is treated with the contempt he deserves from now on.

I got to say that vincent vega has got it spot on thou neil is a great bloke a good team manager he had 4 go's at winning the world cup and if you were a football manager you would give up and let someone else have a go

 

As for people takeing over i think maybe rosco who has a way of talking to the ref on the phone and getting his point across or as vince has say ronnie russell to bring the bulldog back to the union jack

Middlo has done a good job as England TM but after another World Cup has proved elusive I think it is time for Neil to step aside now as England manager and let someone else have a go. Middlo is like Sven nice bloke good at his job but doesnt have that bit extra at the top level. The BSPA should make Ronnie Russell England manager at the winter conference and mark my words with Ronnie in charge Team GB will win the world cup next year.

Middlo is the Best GB Manager we have ever had and I "Congratulate" Mid on doing such a fantastic job as ever. Keep up the good work Middlo

I certainly don`t think he should be made to leave after that performance,but maybehe might think that was his best chance and it ain`t going to get any better over the next few years.Only 2 of the team have a chance to improve on the performance over the next few years and i don`t know if there are many ready to take the others places.Compare that with the other teams who will probably get better,even with a few like Gollob and Karlsson also dropping out.Poland ,Denmark and Sweden look good for the future

You are having a laugh about Rosco aren't you? He is also a great bloke and a great friend of mine, but no way would I even consider putting him in charge of Team GB!

 

And as for a Chuckle Brother taking over, the only reason that would happen is because the other Chuckle Brother would stick his oar in!

 

And - ponder on this one: If Middlo was asked to step down as Team GB Manager, how many Brits do you think would stand by him and refuse to ride for the new manager? I think there would be a very under par team out in SWC 2005 with the likes of Harris, Bird, Neath etc as all the top Brits would be unavailable, that is how strongly they feel about Middlo!

 

On a final point, well done to the Brits, Gold would have been fantastic but Silver is the best for some time for us I am proud of all of you.............

Arena are currently in contention for a play off spot and will not finish bottom of the EL where you experts ha ha ha dont make me laugh said they would finish.

Seventh out of Ten,and one of the teams below you lost 2 out of 3 heat leaders.Perhaps the play offs you mention are to see who gets relegated.

Maybe one day if the rules are manipulated enough the two R,s will win something.

I've not always been Middlo's greatest fan, I'm of the opinion that at least one youngster should have been given a go last year for instance, but how anyone can knock him after this years performances beats me.

You could see before Heat 25 how much it all meant to him. How many times did a Brit say "we mustn't drop silly points" Middlo had drummed it into them At the end the tension, emotion and everything really got to him and my heart went out to him when that silly insensitive Sophie Blake insisted on sticking the mic in his face when he clearly just wanted to go. He had given an interview and politely tried to withdraw, anyone with any humanity would have said fine, thank you and left it at that.

For what its worth, here's my 5peneth worth.....I think Middlo has done a great job, and Team GB cannot be faulted, each rider involved wearing the jacket with pride.....however, I'm with VV on this one....I reckon Middlo will not be in charge for the next world cup. As to whether R.R is the man to take his place....who knows?....I could certainly think of worse.

Middlo has done a brilliant job with little or no financial resources and a lack of world class talent coming through. Personally If I were in his position I would tell SGB that unless they put the right funding in place and recognise the need to develop the sport at the grass roots level then I'm packing up. He could leave (if he wanted to) with head held mightily high.

VV keeps harping on about his beloved Arena and how they are so near the play offs. The nearest the team will get is probably 7th place in the table.

If your only claim to fame is that Ronnie Russell has guided a team that were favourites to finish bottom of the pile to the dizzy hights of third from bottom then that's hardly a massive acheivement is it?

 

Untill the handsome one actually wins something then he shouldn't get a sniff of the GB job.

 

Middlo has the respect of all the British Riders and that counts for a great deal. He guided Poole to the treble last season and i wouldn't bet against him guiding us to the double again this season.

Well done Mark - fantastic performance. Floppy was brilliant as was Havvy and Lee. Scott was brilliant too but with no luck on his side. The Swedes won but they were not any better than us. One way or another the ref completely lost it, which was embarrasing for all concerned.

How many years has RR been in charge of Arena, and how many league titles has he won? I did ask you this in my first post, but you seem to have ignored it.

 

He hasn't won it in the past 3 years, premier or elite, so by your rules, he should be sacked!

There is a big difference to winning the league and the World Cup. To win the World Cup you only need to win 3 meetings whereas the league is over 30 odd matches big difference. Middlo has done a good job no doubt about that I just feel having had 4 attempts at winning it and failed someone new should be given a chance.
