Lanzilla
How on earth can Ole Olsen be allowed to influence the track preparations for Saturdays Final? We are in Britain and we want it set up for our Boys in the Final. As Havvy rightly said......Olsen did everything he could to help the Danes on Home soil, so he should butt out over here. Keep your nose out Ole or i'm gonna kick your butt!!!

stressed
(Lanzilla @ Aug 5 2004, 11:13 PM)How on earth can Ole Olsen be allowed to influence the track preparations for Saturdays Final? His school tie must be the right colour (Lanzilla @ Aug 5 2004, 11:13 PM)We are in Britain and we want it set up for our Boys in the Final. Home advantage, now that would be ideal but with none of the Team GB boys currently riding for Poole it makes you wonder. I just hope that the Poole trackman John Hector gets the track as the boys want it so that we see a Team GB victory. Wonder who will moan and groan then? martin palmer
I guess that as Olsen is director of speedway for BSI, he gets the chance to have his say on track prep. You can bet you bottom dollar he will ask for it to be done the way the Danes like it though. We should have that call, as all home nations should have and usually do have some sort of advantage re track prep.
Dave the Mic
Olsen has way too much influence.
Ruby Tuesday
Does anyone know the track man at Poole? Maybe if we all slip him a fiver then he will be able to do it as Havvy wants? Will be worth it! OR Someone can kidknap Ole before the meeting and tie him up behind the pits and leave him there til it's over?

You are right, Olsen is the BSI track director and he will have the track how he likes it. Maybe not fair but it is the way it is. The World Cup is a BSI event and has nothing to do with where it is held. If the brits don't win I don't want to hear them moaning about how the track was not to their liking. It will be the same for everyone. If they are good enough and determined enought, they will win. End of story.
Dave the Mic
That's hardly fair. In Denmark the tracks are always prepared exactly how the Danes like them. In Poland the same is the case. Why should that not be the case in this country? It's because Olsen will have the track prepared how his Danish team like it. Olsen might be the "race director" (dictator), but first, he is a Dane & he does all he can to give them an advantage. Ergo, he has too much power. Storming Norman
Others ignore Olsen so should we. If Sweden didn't ignore him he must accept responsibility for that G Prix that was abandoned after 3 Hts as the track was unraceable owing to appalling preparation. Another approach is to tell Olsen we'll do the track how he wants it but just don't. What can he do? We have a heck of a chance of being Champions of the World and mustn't let Olsen spoil it. Peter S.
Does it matter if it is Ole or his sons team that does it to you. Stop whining start racing. Have a nice one. Peter

SCB
In Poland, the track is owned by the club, they can have a say (or after all you can't hire a track and change it if you dont have permission), the same in Denmark (Olsen owned the track for the final) yet BS Group own Poole Speedway so what say does anyone have in it? Only the BS Groups people and the BSI people, I can't see the BS Group people being bothered so it's down to BSI, who just happen to have a Dane as the man who calls the shots!!!!!!!
