Bryn
Jeez peoples - if YOU were commentating on that meeting YOU would have needed a drink or two to steady you down. Mind you most of you would freeze if a microphone was given to you - admit it!
Lanzilla
Mind you most of you would freeze if a microphone was given to you - admit it! I wouldn't mind having a go.......at least i'd know how not to do it!!..
stressed
Mind you most of you would freeze if a microphone was given to you - admit it! Too right they would and do. The times I have tried to grab an interview with supporters or sponsors hear the screams of how dare you (or words to that effect), then watch them run a mile, some riders can be very mic shy as well, not just the younger ones If football players can do then speedway riders should have a damn good go as well, maybe a bit of coaching behind the scenes would be a good idea, though maybe Sky just want it as it comes, natural On the whole they mostly do a good job, everyone has their moans and groans but where would you be without it? If Sky had to pay the same wages to the speedway riders as they do the footballers I think speedway would soon be overlooked. Just enjoy it and hope it stays
strop
I thought that too that he had had a liquid lunch. he was struggling quite a bit funny though
rabbit
I've got a bad feeling we will have to put up with Sam 'Woohoo' Ermolenko comentating on Saturday. ...and Millard as well Glad we weren't the only ones to notice it. Definite slurring - bit too much of the hospitality during the day maybe - but so amusing to watch
Liontamer
I thought he looked a bit glassy eyed (& that's a lot of glass folks), before he even opened his mouth. He sounded totally wrecked whilst on his knees looking at the track. Fantastic.

arnieg
Jeez peoples - if YOU were commentating on that meeting YOU would have needed a drink or two to steady you down. Mind you most of you would freeze if a microphone was given to you - admit it! But at least I'd be able to say something more intelligent than: "..we've never heard of Janusz Kolodziej" Edited August 6, 2004 by arnieg
Addy
I disagree Tomcat, the slightly tipsy Kelvin was not quite as sit on the fence as normal. I sa get his totally drunk for the final and put him in the commentary box with Johno brilliant idea
FlyinRyan
did anyone else think that Kelvin was struggling with his words???? Karl That's really funny, within seconds of him coming on screen my wife and I both thought he had been on the sauce.
Pete
I started to have my suspicions when he stuttered on the word ‘CATEGORICALLY’ only to finish off saying ‘CAREGOTICALLY’. Funny stuff Kelv, your best performance on Sky by far.
Guest wilburforce
He looked totally p****d on the track and sounded it but when he was in the commentary box, he sounded alright. I agree. I was in stitches listening to him when he was talking on the track. Thought he was deffo p****d. It was hilarious. He did sound ok though when he was commentating later on. Gemini
I've got a bad feeling we will have to put up with Sam 'Woohoo' Ermolenko comentating on Saturday. I tell you what I will be really disappointed if that happens. I tell you what I like Kelvin. I tell you what I hope it's Sir Kelvin, whether he's had a few too many or not. 21st century heathen
I was just waiting for him to topple over when he crouched down on the track. Now that would have been funny.
daveccm
I was just waiting for him to topple over when he crouched down on the track. Now that would have been funny. Well it would wouldn't it - seeing as he's got a damaged hip joint.
BritPete
I've justed watched it again, I think he has sobered up now!!
keepturningleft
There's still the mystery of how he could have sobered up so quickly. In the commentary box ten minutes after his track inspection, he was completely normal sounding with not a hint of being p****d! How did he do that?? Kelvin, however, remains one of the best things about Sky's coverage.
stevehone
nobody even mentioned that due to his injuries he might be on medication but then again, everyone quick to slate him on here
