Play offs on Thursday

Recommended Posts

Looks pretty sold out(not) judging by the lack of empty seats on bend two!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think somebody has been feeding us porkie pies.......

Yes and Mr Posselthwaite was at pains to say that there were tickets still available.

I hope BSI learn from their mistakes if the stadium isn't full for the final, ie staging it right the way down at Poole!!

But fair play - they qualified without the use of tactics, but you cant blame the aussies for using the joker in 25 - they were allowed to do so.

Too true it was last chance saloon, we would have wondered why they hadn't if not!!!! For me the aussies didn't deserve their place in the final from tonight's showing, too many weak links. What was up with Sullivan in his first two heats, atrocious on his home track!!! Poor Boycey just wasn't fast enough, pity they didn't give Travis McGowan an outing, a bit of youthful enthusiasm might have worked wonders.

Jonsson was superb

His moves were something to savour for sure. And doesn't he always seem like he's enjoyed his racing when interviewed!

The track was terribly slick, I wonder what it will be like in the final, terribly slick I'd imagine!!!!

Great meeting tonight .

Some of the racing from Jonsson, Lindback , Gollob & Kolodziej was as good as

anything I have seen all season .

Crowd was the smallest of the season and proved that the meeting was totally

over priced .

Another opportunity missed to show the non Speedway public a great sport

and a great meeting ridden in front of a large crowd .

Why couldn't they run the final at a track that was accessable for every one. We can't all take 2 days of work to see a meeting. Plus the cost of getting there, plus the cost of overnight accommodation, plus the cost of the entry tickets.

I do think alot of people will agree with you there, Maggie :)

Can I just ask

Why didn't Auz use the joker in the race where Auz were more than 6 down and Leigh was riding? - we all knew he would win  :approve:

Exactly, We were screaming for the joker to come out, what a waste

there was 3 of us in the room watching it tonight, 2 aussie supporters & 1 neutral & we were all shouting at the tv for the tactical to be used! we all thought that the tactical would be out in heat 17 as when they were in the interval, they shot to an aussie "group meeting" & all riders & managements seemed to be in conversation & directing jestures at leigh as if to say 'you take the tactical' but oh no, it did not appear!

I had a ticket and i live in Poole, but still decided to watch it on the telly.

I'll be there on Saturday though!

Wish I was. It will be better than a grand prix :(

Some great racing, the best Sky meeting I've seen all season.

Superb entertainment throughout, especially with those passes from A.J (through the eye of a needle), Gollob and Kolodziej (last bend, last lap) to name three B)

Well done to the Poles and Gollob, for ensuring that the daft joker ruling didn't affect the outcome of heat 25 and the overall result, with the best two teams going through on the night.

Well what can I say - AJ was awsome, apart from his gating. How he managed to stay on his bike and win the heat I'll never know! Pure genius..

Was well suprirsed at the Poles, I pretty much thought it would be the Swedes and the Aussies that went through.

Roll on the final.... I've got seats booked, but had a great view from where I was standing last night - think I may stand over there again instead.

I thought the Aussies were third best all night and didn't deserve a place in the Final, especially after the outrageous decision to exclude Max when Johnno fell.

The two points gifted to Australia nearly got them through in the Final shake-up, but justice was done and they waltzed off empty handed. ;)

I reckon you might find it just a tad more crowded than it was last night, unless you are planning on picking your spot a couple of hours before the meeting starts.

I'd stick with your seats or someone might nick them. :D
