Queen Bee
What a fantastic night I had last night, got home at 1.15am, but it was well worth the trip down. The atmosphere and the support from all the homes fans was brilliant. Hello to everyone that was there! Our boys did our country proud. Good luck for the final. Agreed, a very good performance from Team GB and quite unexpected, Although having three ex and present Eastbourne riders in the team was somewhat of an advantage. Mark Loram was outstanding, has someone finally taught him how to trap? A first also for Arlington, I'm sure I counted three passing manouveres during the meeting apres turns one and two. I agree, team GB rode really well and deserved victory. I do have some questions about last night though: 1, Why did only two team out of four have team race suits? This looks unprofessional. I think that if a team does not have a race suit they should not be able to compete. 2, How on earth did BSI allow a referee that was the same as a competeing nation? Again, this is a joke. Speedway will never be taken seriously. What other sport would allow this at this level? It was a World Championship event after all. 3, How come we had white helmet colours? I guess I know the answer is that it was an FIM event, like the GP's but I don't think this is very consistent for SKY viewers.

I think that if a team does not have a race suit they should not be able to compete. It is actually in the rules that all teams must have a team racing suits but not everyone has £2000 to £3000 spare in their budget to have fancy Kevlar’s. Admittedly they could have the moto x type tops made but it is all money which does not grow on palm tress in the SWC. I believe one of the reason USA are not competing is because is costs to much. Guest FastGater
Does anyone else think that the ref was a little harsh with all the starting tape exclusions he dished out? Other than that............. WHAT A NIGHT!!

Star Lady
Does anyone else think that the ref was a little harsh with all the starting tape exclusions he dished out? Other than that............. I was cheering for the referee. The riders ALL know the rules, listen to Tony R, he knew he was out of order and made no excuses. He and others have always got away with it in the past but it's no different to using the correct silencer etc. The ref was just doing his job. I'm heartily sick of riders faffing about at the tapes and if this refs actions are the start of an end to it I reckon he should be nominated for an award
Peter S.
Nicki P. was commentating on danish DK4. He was also impressed with the ref and with team GB. We actually had two sets of commentator as the Sky commentators was screaming so loud that it went through all mics. It was the first time I saw the Eastbourne track, cant help wondering what the guy who build it at first hand had to drink before he started his work. Congrats to team GB, really impressive performance. Peter S.
shazzybird
cant help wondering what the guy who build it at first hand had to drink before he started his work. Meaning what? "Uncle Bob" at Eastbourne has prepared the track for years and now Martin helps his Father. Can't say I've heard many people commenting on what a bad track he prepares. Can someone tell me if they have made any improvements to the toilet facilities as promised for the WTC?
Peter S.
I didnt mean the preparation but the size and shape. The turns looked to be very different in shape and to me it seemed they rode down hill into turn 3. Peter
shazzybird
Oh you little bugga now I'm gonna be looking at the bends instead of the racing when they ride into the fourth now
KevH
Can someone tell me if they have made any improvements to the toilet facilities as promised for the WTC? All they'd have to do would be put a loo roll in them - vast improvement straight away!
