tomcat
Well I am not sloshed like Sir Kelv..but I did manage to predict that result..well the top two anyways on the Ipswich forum.. Great stuff and serves the Aussie right for being over confident.."We dont mind going to the raceoff..means we get to have a look at the track before Saturdays Final".. oohhh what went wrong Roo Boys? Out ridden and in the end outclassed, thats what happened. Although to be fair..although I hate to admit it.. the Aussies did their bit in an amazing and thrilling meeting. Shame the track went so slick.. spoilt it a tad as there wasnt enough grip after about 12 heats.. Hopefully Middlo gets his own way and tells Ole Olsen where to go and we get the track prepared how WE want it Saturday. Good Luck to TEAM GB Sat and I hope that whoever triumphs Sat, that the meeting is just as good and close.
Rob B
I still say Sweden will win the World Cup as long as Lindback keeps his cool.
gms
i bet by 10.30pm sat night team gb-eng-island of the coast of europe will know that that they had the easy draw and were in the final under false pretences

SCB
Top 5 riders in the EL? Adams, Crump, TRick, Loram and Norris. 2 of them are not even in the meeting so team GB have 2 of the best 3 riders in the meeting for a start. THe number 5's? Havvy, solid 8.5 rider this season, Sweden have crash and burn Lindback who is riding at a similar level, the Danes have Puk who is only a 5.50 rider (as much as I like him, he is no Havvy or Lindback and will not score as well as them) and the Poles have Kolodziej and Kasprzak. The way I see it, Team GB have the best top 2, the best bottom rider and a strong middle order, making them THE team to beat. I think they'll do it, but only just. Havvy vs Lindback is where Havvys experience comes in, he won't make the silly mistakes and take out other riders or go through the tapes, he know how to control the nerves and it will be a telling factor. andy moore, yeah, if they're 4th they're England Edited August 6, 2004 by SCB
Guest Stars Fan
I've changed my mind i think Team GB will win. We have some very good riders that go well at Poole. so my new prediction 1. Team GB 2. Denmark 3. Sweden 4. Poland But i think Team GB should watch out for Poland they could be the dark horses of the meeting.

KevH
Everyone seems to be forgetting we've already beaten Sweden and Poland in the competition so there's no reason we can't do it again! This is far and away our best chance to win the trophy which we haven't won since 1989 - yes 15 years ago!!! - and I firmly believe we will. Get behind our team and give them all the support they deserve and remember that even if things go wrong tonight they have already done us proud. I am prepared to admit that I felt a little emotional on Monday when we won the qualifier and that is something I'm looking forward to experiencing again tonight - all we need is belief in ourselves and I'm sure Middlo has installed that in the team and the team will install that in the fans!!! We are right behind you Team GB - go for it lads!!!
mark cox
If Richardson gates like he's been doing in the GP's, and Loram and Nicholls have enough dirt to race on, whilst Havelock grabs any point he can, then this is our best chance for years. shirls
Team GB Denmark Sweden Poland Iam totally gutted my cable and internet went down on thursday because of the storm ,it has only just come back on ,so i missed the meeting on thursday night i normally tape it as well, i set the recorder to tape it at ten the next day whilst i was at work ,but of course it still was not on so all i got is a load of snow,so frustrating whe things like this happen ,every one keeps saying it was a really good meeting, but of course no one had taped it as they were watching it ,am so anoyed about not being able to see it,but what can you do, (b---dy weather, and cable it took them nearly forty eight hours to get it back on.) Blackknight19
I taped the meeting on thursday, still got it aswell if you want to see it, get in touch and i'll send it to you. As for tonight, our best chance in years, as long as we don't suffer the same kind of nervousness Lindback had the other night we'll be fine. 1, Team GB 2, Sweden 3, Denmark 4, Poland Have to say it's very close to call but our superior strength in depth should see us through. garf
BP, HA, NP is usually riding well on the Poole track. KB and PUK do have the capability to do so, so I think it is going to be a quite even and tough match tonight. My predictions : Denmark Sweden England Poland. COME ON DK, SHOW THEM ALL
Champion
Isn't Poland the youngest team in the meeting (especially now when Walasek is replaced by another junior: Rempala) ?? Wouldn't it be the great surprise if we manage at least bronze medal ?? Hope so !
