madame muck
Does anyone know if you can pay on the door for the 2 meetings at Eastbourne? Is it ticket only? I seem to remember last time the wtc was in England, there was 3 rounds at Sheffield,Poole and Eastbourne and you were definately allowed to pay on the door! Got my tickets for the 2 meetings at Poole, but was hoping to come to Eastbourne on the Monday to support the british boys! Aint sure at the moment how many of my friends want to go Monday,so that why i need to know about pay on the door like at normal meetings?! tomcat
Much cheaper to stay at home and much warmer plus front row seats Dont feint Jess.. but I actually agree with you on that one.. Sat at home and YES you can actually feel the atmosphere, Sky do a cracking job of building it all up. As someone else has already said.. BSI have priced a lot of the HOME supporters out of it. 30 or 40 quid for 16 heats of speedway at each meeting. Not on your nelly. When you have a family, that is one expensive meeting. Also apparently the viewing at Poole is going to be highly restricted and people that want to be able to actually see the racing have been asked to arrive early to get a seat near the front!!! I think we made the right choice Jess.. sit in comfort, can have a drink or three and not have to worry about driving afterwards ( yeah I know you dont drive Jess.. ) and can chill out and enjoy the fun unfolding without missing any racing. Now thats a good!!
Em
We (me, my sister, my mum and dad) are going to all four events regardless of the cost (I don't have to pay...so it doesn't really bother me...) I do think it's too expensive though but as I managed to persuade my dad to take us I am looking forward to it! I am planning on cheering a lot and possibly losing my voice. My sister and I will be some of the people dressed up slightly insanely in our Union Jack clothes! I'm just hoping it doesn't rain.
Guest JY2003
WOW Tomcat, we agree on something Why pay £30-£40 odd to watch (How many heats off racing) When you can sit on a nice sofa and watch it... Sky always do a cracking job...I agree... I'm just hoping it doesn't rain. And if it does Em....I'm going to p!$$ myself ing Edited July 27, 2004 by JY2003
Gemini
I'm just hoping it doesn't rain..... And if it does Em....I'm going to p!$$ myself ing Agree with what you've said except for the last bit. It won't be at all funny if these big meetings are affected by rain, or even called off. What good will that do? As a Speedway fan surely you will want everything to be perfect for good racing even if you're only watching at home, like I will be? Guest JY2003
I don't mean it like that Gemini but if it rains then i will be ing at all supporters getting wet...
Gemini
Mmmmm. Okay. But if the fans are getting wet so will the riders and we all know what that means. Track inspections, rider discussions in the pits because they don't want to carry on, delays.......Not good television.
HOTSHOT
You can get a 4 event ticket, seating if you want, for about £95. Now considering this is the cream of world speedway on show, bar Team USA, I think it ain't bad value under a £100. My point is e.g. like a Ferrari, now I would love one and yes they are a few bob, but just because I can't afford it does not mean it's expensive/ not worth it.
