boywonder
For the racing, White City (miles better than Wimbledon's gaters paradise- pause fors howls of abuse) and for ambience, setting, facilities, the flowers and the racing- Powderhall, Edinburgh. Why did it seem to me that the best tracks, inc. Plough Lane, had floral displays??
The Grim Reaper
Darvel Ayreshire, best track ever. The Kettering track at Hannington was good too.
Guest BILLY BURTONS BOOTS
For riding on Long Eaton like a billiard table at times, for watching Boston before Stockcars ruined the track and made the track poor.
The Grim Reaper
For riding on Long Eaton like a billiard table at times, for watching Boston before Stockcars ruined the track and made the track poor. You must be joking. Long Eaton "stadium" was like a Russian slaughterhouse, & the best thing that ever happened to Boston was B & Q.

charlietheplasterer
All, My all time favorite track has to be Bradfords Odsal stadium. I can remember sleeping in the car there on a freezing October evening with another forum member after seeing a double header with the Racers winning the KO Cup, and Kings Lynn with the youthful Henka. Also September 1st 1990, the Greatest World Final ever, and the result to match. Cheers, Charlie.
Vincent Vega
The Old Waterden Road circuit was fantastic I think in one meeting in 1988 they had about 50 passes in the match. Bryn will probably know who the meeting was against and exactly how many passes were made.
The Grim Reaper
Ah the good old days, brings back lots of happy memories. I remember my old mum in the bar after many a meeting. She used to have men lining up to throw roses at her & drink champagne out of her shoe. Bless her, she died at the grand old age of 98 from trenchfoot & greenfly. Chivs
Has to be Odsal for me Just loved the racing there, and for some reason there was a kind of special atmosphere - even when it was half empty

RobMcCaffery
Cradley with the girls parading up and down hoping the guys would notice them... Belle Vue knowing you had an eight hour overnight journey home... Boston for cockleshells and the best mushy peas.... Canterbury for the cathedral views..... Hackney for spoiling me for tracks that didn't have passing.... And Rayleigh - my first love, taken away far too soon just when I'd got to know it. P.S. - Assen ice track - for Tony's Tattoo Bar in Groningen...oops.....
Rico
My all time favorite track has to be Bradfords Odsal stadium. Totally agree Janusz Ostry/Charlietheplasterer Loved Odsal - I remember going to a meeting there, Dukes v Wolves and thinking it was one of the greatest meetings I'd ever seen. Bought the highlights video that year thinking it'd be full of races from that night, but not even one of them made it on the tape.
