Grachan
But one thing is for sure.... Hes does make good comedy! I think it's officially fair to say that he isn't talking to Tony Steele again, and also mentioned "When i'm infront I can do whatever I like" LOL !! Makes ya laugh though! Then, of course, the ultimate insult: 'I don't think you're very nice.'
shortoi
And, of course, the ultimate truth; "this is business, everybody has to be fair in business!" *ahem* no comment...
The Grim Reaper
Then, of course, the ultimate insult: 'I don't think you're very nice.' I have to admit, I did have a chuckle listening to him telling Tony Steele he wasn't very nice & he didn't want to be his friend anymore. I can't imagine Jason Grump coming out with something like that.
Dave the Mic
Just finished watching the Sweden-Holland match after the GP & thought I would have to look at what has been said about tonight's action. Lots of interesting comments & opinions - as usual. Firstly I would like to congratulate Jason Crump on his win & his increasing maturity as time passes on. He has grown up in the last couple of years, is generally elloquent when interviewed & is a good ambassador for the sport, who I feel would make a good World Champion. Glad to see the few riders who bit the dust tonight get up & walk away. Nicki Pedersen sat on a see-saw in terms of my opinion of him tonight. His actions in the final were commendable & I take my hat off to him - that was great sportsmanship & not many would have even thought to do what he did. Well done. On the debit side I thought his usual "I can do no wrong" attitude surfaced again in the incident with Crump. Whether Crump could have stayed on or not is of no real consequence, although I feel it unlikely he would have fallen on purpose. Pedersen clearly moved over (it was nothing to do with the rut) to block Crump's run. I suspect he didn't mean to take Crump off, but there was contact - those who say otherwise must need their eyes tested - & in that case, Tony Steele had no option, Pedersen had to go. If you touch another rider in that way & they fall, you are guilty of causing them to fall. Period. His histrionics thereafter were amazing to see & great TV, but you can just tell that the way he conducts himself, he feels he can do nothing wrong & there is always someone else to blame. Mr Steele must be gutted that he is off Nicki's Christmas card list. Poor Tony.
KevH
he now has a new word in his dictionary F**K whcih he told his ex-freind Tony Steele to do many a time in the space of 2 minutes! To be fair, Nicki didn't swear once during his conversation with the referee - give credit where it's due!

Which goes to prove yet again that where NP is concerned people see & hear what they want to, & to hell with facts.
shortoi
Anybody else beginning to think that The Grim Reaper is Nicki Pedersen in disguise?

Dekker
Didn't take long for the anti Nicki children to get their names in print. A move that all the clean riders like Crump and Greg and of course superclean Sam do week in week out but oh no its Nicki. Some people need to get real and be fair to everyone. About time someone just slapped him around once and for all.
HenryW
Whether Crump could have stayed on or not is of no real consequence, Of course it is - that is the whole point. I agree entirely. Scott Nicholls got at least as hard a knock from Hancock, probably worse, but Scott stayed on his bike and for his efforts went out the meeting. Surely if what Nicki did was worth an exclusion then Hancock was due one as well. Essentially you are saying that Crump is being rewarded for laying his bike down, which he clearly did. Do we really want to encourage "diving" in speedway?
The Grim Reaper
Anybody else beginning to think that The Grim Reaper is Nicki Pedersen in disguise? Take that back this minute or else I'll, I'll.......I'll never talk to you again & you wont be my friend anymore.

Dave the Mic
So what is being said is that it is OK for a rider to take another's front wheel away? At 60 odd miles an hour? Sideways? And that rider should go unpunished? Of course.

No when Nicholls got hit by Hancock they were coming off the bend and Nicholls had his wheels back in line, when Pedersen hit Crump it was in the middle of the bend full slide, how is someone suppose to stay on the bike when there front wheel is taken from them when they are sliding sideways? You are missing the point Rob, it all depends on the personality of the rider and whether you like them or not !! Seriously it's unlike common sense to come into a posting on here, well done. But the impact was so minimal from Nicki (dirt deflector), it did not cause Crump's front wheel to wash away, Crumpy just got off it. Someone had to go (or did they ? who knows with some of the bizarre all 4 back calls we've had this year) did Tony make his decision using the footage from the 1st and 2nd bend only, which from that angle and distance did look liek beign more in favour of Jason. The viewing public saw the 4th bend camera work well after the decision had been made ? did Tony have and use this footage as a basis for his decision ? Anyway, all academic really, Nicki gets through the eliminator, makes th final has a massive off, credit where it's due, picks himself up and clears the track, Jason wins. Good to see pats on back between Nicki and Crumpy at the end. Great TV - the jury is split on who should have been excluded though.
shirls
Did anyone else notice that Crumpy got up ,walking around with his arms in the air in one of his temper tantrums (we all know he has them as well), then when the race was stopped he went down on the ground and then got up with a limp that wasnt there before.
