False dawn
Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I have barely got over Saturday let alone organising next year's block booking. Let me tell you honestly. I have done the block booking for the last two years and like Bruce Penhall in 1982, I'm going to quit whilst I'm ahead. No offence, but I ain't doing it for 2005. Maybe it was the way I did it, but it's been a nightmare from beginning (October 2003) to end (1:00 p.m. last Saturday). I'll happily give someone else the benefit of my experience, but it is someone else's turn. I hope you understand guys and galls
Steve Turner
There'll be an official meeting(over a pint) to sort out which way the Forum Family will be joining forces in Cardiff 2005. Obviously everyone's welcome to say they want to be a part of it, as I do, but for now let's just say we owe a big thankyou to False dawn for the stressful effort he had to put in. Cheers David you did well mate ! Next year's party will be announced as soon as

Gemini
What about organising hotel accomodation en bloc too? You're keen Addy. Count us out of that. Not many would allow Pawprint like the brilliant hotel on Cathedral Road. Already booked up for next year, 2nd Saturday in June. I'd also like to add my thanks to FD for organising everything for the past two years. It can't have been easy. False dawn
Let me just be clear. 1. I ain't upset with anyone. My decision to not organise next year's block booking (if there is one) is born out of fatigue (mine and my credit card's) not out of spite. 2. I would be as upset as anyone if this block booking idea dies a death. But I ain't doing it again, sorry. But I will tell whoever what's involved. What about organising hotel accomodation en bloc too?3. If we're all sleeping in one room Addy, can I book the side of the (big) bed near the loo? Joanne
Thanks, FD. You've done a brilliant job over the last two years. Well done for this year for finding a suitable place for us to sit when the seats we sat in last year went up in price. Great choice. Definately wanting to be part of the forum block booking for next year
born_2b_mad
Echoed, thanks for sorting the bookings out David, it was very much appreciated. I would offer to take over, but I don't own a credit card (anymore! )
False dawn
but I don't own a credit card (anymore! ) After landing mine with a bill for over £600, twice in the past 2 years, I nearly didn't have one either. In fact, two years ago, due to a mix up by the ticket agent, I had Barclaycard ring me up to see if there had been fraudulent use of my card! P.S. Thank you all for your appreciation of my efforts. Despite my comments, I was more than pleased to do it. Especially when I saw all of us "playing together" at Sam's Bar.
Tigerblade
I ain't upset with anyone. My decision to not organise next year's block booking (if there is one) is born out of fatigue (mine and my credit card's) not out of spite. Although I didn't go on the block booking, I can echo Fd's quote here - I've organised a couple of functions for 30+ (amount, not their ages!) people in the past, collecting money etc. and so on, listening to various "it can't be that night", "that venue is crap" etc. etc. suggestions. So I'll say well done to Fd, as I know from experience that it is a thankless task. And NO, that is NOT me volunteering for next year
shazzybird
If it hadn't been for FD Addy and Phil..... I wouldn't have been sat there either............ so you only have them to blame
Addy
If it hadn't been for FD Addy and Phil..... I wouldn't have been sat there either............ so you only have them to blame I've already thanked FD and the others for their efforts - but not too much trouble to thank him again Next year perhaps if someone is kind enough to block book the tickets we should build in rules - like people pay up front - and who sits next to who can be sorted at the stadium. You enjoyed sitting with us too, didn't you Shazzy
Gemini
..... and who sits next to who can be sorted at the stadium. Can you image the chaos that would cause Addy? We only had to sort out a seat for you next to Joanne this year and it took ages. I think it kept Dickiemint and Born2BMad amused though.
