SCB
My sisters friends dad did the fireworks, so i've just been told. So have we got any comments? Critisisms? Advice? Post on here, I'll print it off and my sister can give it to her friend for her dad. Personally I though they were great but then I though everything was great at that moment in time. jill
they were the best bit as its the only thing i really remember best fireworks ive ever seen
Gemini
Absolutely no criticism at all. They were brilliant. I'm not usually very keen on fireworks - not ones that involve loud bangs anyway - but these were just great. More of the same next year please. Kylmo
certainly better than the aged ex spandau ballet singer. Surely they can get a better singer than that. And the announcer said that he has one of the best voices over the past 40 years Yer ...right
Guest richtea78
I know a fair bit about fireworks and a couple of other members of our private display team were there and we thought it was suburb. I know what its like when you do these things as all you remember is the one that didnt fire. I can honestly say that this ranks up with the best displays Ive seen including the ones for VE Day. The amount of planning to get it all in time with the music must have been immense and I didnt really notice one out of time. the Figure of 8 was my favourite part Only slight critiscms I can make if I am being really picky are that the cathering wheels werent that impressive, they were overshadowed by the flame pots and the crossovers and on a personal level not enough bangs. A string of 70mm machinatas (Sp) would have rocked the stadium and would have shown the air horns loud Edited June 14, 2004 by richtea78

shazzybird
How can anyone find fault in such a marvellous display of fireworks the perfect end to a perfect day "Congratulations" I love that song!! to all involved with the entire event, very well put together Tony Hadley aged? I thought he was excellent. Sam Ermolenko can't really say I heard a lot of what he said except every now and then "Get behind your rider let's hear those air horns" It's one thing to be interviewed at speedway to a tv camera but this man was in front of a crowd topping I would say at least 50,000 (has anyone got a more precise figure) there were bound to be nerves. Adder
in front of a crowd topping I would say at least 50,000 (has anyone got a more precise figure) About 36,000 according to the BBC. Same as last year although I must admit I thought there looked laess people in the stadium this time around. Cracking meeting though. Tony Hadley rules! shazzybird
Never 36,000! I would have said there was more than last year there, then again I was seeing double

Tommy L
The fireworks took me by surprise when they dipped the stadium lights, when the music started which was one of my favourite tracks from Grease together with the best firework display I have ever witnessed I was gobsmacked. I had hoped they could have stretched it out to the whole LP but was glad to see what we got, bring it on again next year,,,,,,,,,,,,

Rotskiracing
Fireworks were absolutely brilliant. My 4 year old loved them and that was the first time all day that he was quite happy to stay in one place
