Philip Addison
Sorry i haven't done this before now but it doesn't look like anyone else has either [ personally been too preoccupied with the antics of Hans ' don't mess with me ' Andersen ] But i'd like to say.WELL DONE DAVID NORRIS. I thought he was brilliant. He never looked out of place in a top Grand Prix mixing it with the world's best and to beat the likes of Tomasz Gollob and Tony Rickardsson.Fantastic.In the interview he said he just wanted to make his family and friends proud.Well if i was family or friend i would be bursting with pride mate.Just one race away from a semi final place. Can't wait for the World Team Cup to come around,if we can steer clear of injuries Team GB can give it some hammer !!!! fatface
Agreed, he was superb tonight. He was one of the smoothest riders on display abd never looked out of place at all. His 3rd to 1st dash in his first outing was one of many, many highlights. Like you say Phil, it looks good for the SWC too. I'm certainly more optimistic for GB than I have been in the past. sjw ministerofport
Ive been to all the Cardiff GPs and loved them all but this was the best one. I was proud of all the Brits but Dave added something special. I was so pleased with all of our riders but Dave has to be blamed for my sore throat and stinking hangover today. A sportsman who entertained magnificently on a very special day.

Brightonbob
As a confirmed Norris fan I can't tell you how proud I was of him last night. Super sportsman whos running on sheer hard work and determination. Star of the night for many, if not most fans last night I think. Â Next season Floppy could be (will be) a GP rider. I say here and now that could be one of the best sporting stories you'll ever witness. Dave will not only win a GP next season, he'll finish in the top 6. Â Think I'm joking? Daves always had decent sponsors - just watch what happens now. Â Well done to all the Brits last night. Doesn't Team GB suddenly look look a bit tasty? Mark Evans
Floppy was my man of the meeting.... Â best Gp there so far.. Â Did the crowd look any larger than previos years to you. ? .
SCB
Dave finally cracked it, he is my favourite Brit now. Mark Loram is second. Dave is great on a bike and off it  I hope he is in the GP next year and I really do think he CAN win a GP.
Trees
He should be rightfully proud of what he did last night, shame the bloke has taken so long to "get serious" about the sport, just hope his head don't swell now he's doing so well Nah good luck to him, shame Lynn aren't in the EL, he'd have the last laugh this season!! Addy
You know I was only saying today that the change in him is amazing - just think if we all abstained from alcohol, smoking, and ran around alot etc just think what a bunch of websliders we'd be  Mind you - most of us don't have to ride bikes for a living  Oh and Pammie - I was only joking about the alcohol abstinence
Brightonbob
Addy - Perhaps if the England football team did a Floppy we wouldn't be kicking the cat this morning. Â Funny, after following football like some kind of religion for 35 years, and much as I'm a patriotic fellow, the football last night looked like a bunch of rich blokes kicking a ball about. You know full well that given half a chance most of them would be in clubs being flash until 3am night after night - or worse.... Â Hardly a thing to base your national pride on. Â We all know there isn't much cash in speedway accept at the very top. My hat goes off to the full-time riders outside the GP circuit. True athletes and sportman. Thats why the most important winner in speedway is Postlethwaite by a mile. Give him half a dozen guys with the star quality of Floppy (and Loram) and attendances will rise from Armadale to Exeter. Â But to get back on topic. Monday morning. Still buzzing. Still so proud of Floppy and the Brits. Come on you Team GB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trees
Thats why the most important winner in speedway is Postlethwaite by a mile. I don't get this statement at all, bloody Postlethwaite would be nowhere without the leagues and the riders, it's simple to cream off the top m8, it's keeping the leagues afloat where it is harder to be a winner! Presenter
David Norris is partially responsible for my sore throat today, as I shouted for all I was worth in each and every one of his races. He put in a truly LionHeart performance. It has left me wondering though what David might have achieved in his career if he had shown his current determination and commitment a few seasons ago. He has to be an automatic choice for the WTC, of course, and I hope that he carries this rich vein of form into that tournament, and then who knows, what Team Great Britain might be able to achieve....Well Done Dave...
