Gemini
Either incredibly brave or very stupid, haven't worked out which yet !! Do you want any help with the answer Sir L? Had a brilliant weekend, apart from having to sleep on the floor of the hotel room because someone was kicking their legs around all night and making noises that half a dozen pigs would have a job to compete with. Went to the Newport v Newcastle match on Friday night and bumped into Joanne, who had travelled by train and bus so we gave her a lift back to Cardiff afterwards. Quite a good meeting although I missed seeing one of my favourite riders - Carl Wilkinson. After breakfast on Saturday we set off on a marathon walking session to keep Pawprint on the go so she would be worn out by evening, when she'd got to stay in the hotel room. Firstly went on the park (Sophia Gardens), then on a Bus Tour round Cardiff, round the city centre a few times, ending up on the Castle grass for a couple of hours. Pawprint was happily spending the time chasing a ball until a certain forum member chucked it about 100 feet in the air over the Castle Wall. No names, but he does have a sting in his tail. Went to Sams Bar about 4pm and met Sting, Robbo, Bandits4Ever, Pinny, for the first time, also other forum members in various stages of err......."merryment." Then walked back through Sophia Gardens to the hotel in Cathedral Road. Left about 6ish for the walk back to the stadium. Must say that everything about the G.P. this year was the absolute best. The track, presentation, atmosphere, music, Sam, noise, racing. Fantastic. I've watched it again on video now and it just doesn't compare to actually being there. Anyone who missed it - get yourself down to Cardiff next year. You will be amazed. Just one small gripe - the loudspeakers weren't very clear and it was hard to hear. I missed loads of the race times because of this. Pump up the volume! Highlights of the night have to be the good performances of the Brits, Greg Hancock winning, Nicki Pedersen and Hans Andersen going out and Steve Turner's face as the night wore on. The fireworks were brilliant. I didn't want to leave and felt really sad it was all over for another year. Already booked the hotel room for 2005. The King of Old School
Hi all  Thought I'd post and say nice to meet many of you, and hope to do so again if you trip down to the Sunny South Coast and watch the Pirates!  Although an Eastbourne rider, I couldn't help cheering Floppy, he had a blinding evening and well done to him. I'm looking forward to the World Cup now!  COME ON ENGLAND (or Team GB - *just for you Pirate!*)
Chris Brown
My £10 win on Greg at 18/1 made it a very special day  Also meeting up with Lol Hare was great, he joined our group in the pub and have to say he was looking really good. He was taking girlfriend Lucy to her first ever speedway meeting. Edited June 13, 2004 by Chris Brown
London Witch
Got to the Prince of Wales at 4pm but spent half an hour trying to find someone I recognised, then out of the blue I spotted London Witch who then had the honour of introducing me to so many forum peeps. And I apologise to you B2 for not recognising you. I do remember you from Sittingbourne....honestly. Â Got introduced to a few new peeps at Sams and met up with loads of old friends. Was gutted to miss JJ and Rotski tho. Â I thought the racing was the best ever, Tony Hadley was great, but missed Javene due to chatting to a lovely Forum person who I had missed at the pub and who had popped round from the third bend to see me.Thanks Chivs. Highlight was Nicki P going out early and lowlight was Hans exclusion and Chris Louis and David Norris going out earlier than deserved. Gemini
I think one of the men out of the group sat on my shoulder though! Apart from Polly Parrot I can't think of anyone small enough to do that and I'm not going to insult Tom Thumb by saying it could have been him as he is quite tall really. Sure it wasn't The Grim Reaper? And I apologise to you B2 for not recognising you. I do remember you from Sittingbourne....honestly. Well that's made me feel a whole lot better LW. I was talking to someone sitting behind me at Cardiff but had to ask who they were. (I seem to make a habit of this.) Turned out to be Born2bMad who I had spent the whole of the Cougars v Wimbledon match with a few weeks before at Brandon. So embarrassing. diamonds_are_forever
What a great weekend!  Newport on Friday was fun, despite a certain match costing engine failure for Kev Little & the dust. I now know why there is no dirt on the Newport track - I took it all home on me! lol  Saturday was great, just walking around the town - what atmosphere!  Got a photo with Ricco at the autograph session - then he finished 3rd too!  Nice to meet loads of you guys, though I was wandering around the POW not having a clue who anyone was until I spotted FT was wearing a forum cap. I know who I met, but can't quite remember which forum names go with which people!? Need a better memory! lol Spoke to lots of people about how pants we are this year & got hugged by loads of random people too - so hi everyone I met.   "Diamonds For Ever" screeching in me ear every two secs at whatever moved fastest on the track  Soz Nevsy! I haven't had much to shout about so far this season up at Brough, so it kinda all exploded on Saturday night!  Today at Stoke was pretty bad - 1 heat win. Back to reality after thinking we were half decent when we ran Newport close, nevermind c'mon Lubos tomorrow night.  My only gripe - the airhorns I ordered for Cardiff off the internet came...this morning! Custom House Kid
Set out at 10am with my best mate who I used to go to West Ham and Romford with in the 60's, My Farther in Law and My next door neighbor! Arrived at Cardiff around 1:30! parked in purple Car park and headed off to Sams! Â Found Tom Thumb (looking a little worse for ware) who introduced me to Krissie! Nice to meet the boss for a friendly hug and she insisted, I sign the forum Banner! Which was a bit of a cheek as I had the others in tow, so we made our way early to the POW for a seat and something to eat! We sat in the mezzanine and I did not find any other members until I left! at this stage I had no time to talk as I was walking out with the others and did not want to hold them up! I did however bump into Norbold in the door on the way out and must apologize for not saying hello! Â ! As for the racing what more can I say! Â Arrived home at Harold Wood about 2AM. Had to get up again early to take my daughter back around the M25,M4 to play cricket on Sunday at Newbury! Seemed too be traveling all weekend! Â If I go next year I promise to be more sociable! Â PS was that Shazzybird standing next to JJ in the Bar in Sams?

SW17 Racer
Arrrived in Cardiff about 2.30ish. Stuck around City Barge, Gatekeeper.  Saw in no particular order; Andy Fordham, Exeter barmy army(all 6 of them, but good people all the same), Sophie from about 10 yards (swoon, swoon!!!!), the roughest hen party ever, arrogant Poole fans, some Poles from Poznan, who I decided weren't authentic cos' they lived in Henley and Ealing, and got Billy Hamill's book signed as an early fathers day present.  Tony Hadley, racing, atmosphere, all fantastic. For the final, my wife would have won £10 if Adams had won, I would have won £24 if Crumpy had won, and we won £60 for Greg winning, yet Lee was the one we were shouting for!  Home by 2am. Thanks Dad for driving, and only regret was not meeting/saying hello to forum members.

Jive
Great weekend! Found our hotel was the same as Scott Nicholls so text Star Lady and tabby 3 to tell them. Made my way into town by train where we met 4 really nice fans until they said they were Ipswich fans which spoilt the atmosphere (They were great really)  Ryan decided he wanted a hat so we went to GP store I said 'Get a British one' So to my disgust he got a Crump one which pleased Star Lady anyway. Met her at Sams Bar and started on the beer. After 7 pints of Dutch Courage saw Krissie thought I'd risk saying hello + Ryan wanted to sign the forum flag. Went upto Krissie who gave me the Krissie welcome stood talking to her for about 5 minutes then she said 'Who are you?'  Told her and think she was slightly pi$$ed by now. Met Val C, london Witch (who shook my hand and I'm now scarred for life) and Woody the Bee. Ryan and I signed the flag then sloped off to claim back our seats.  Pammie came said hello then rang Midnight Lady and gave me the phone, poor caroline had no idea who she was talking to  Hazy now but remember meeting False Dawn where we had talk about grasstracking at Ugley (He didn't remember me either) and whilst at Bar saw woody walk in so hollered for his order which I duly got, he then cleared off to find I am a Bee (who was also very nice), was gone for ages so we were about to start his pint when he re-appeared.  Tabby 3 text where was I and we missed each other 3 times at walkabout, Sams and Gatekeeper. We went in stadium at about 5.30 to get the atmosphere and like everyone else it was great. I have to admit I get very patriotic at GP and was cheering all the brits like mad so apologies if I was standing up a lot.  Tony Hadley was crap, wrong choice you want someone to get the crowd going not send them to sleep so put Ryans ear defenders on whilst he was lullabying us all.  Racing, atmosphere, riders, fireworks all superb and already looking forward to next year.
