Megalomaniac
Was just looking at the world cup website and realised that the aussies might have to use some young blood in this years competition. With Todd wiltshire retiring, lyons struggling and Boyce ageing. Who will be in the team? Is it time for Shields and Schlein to back up the big three??? what does everyone think? Guest Sir Lunchalot
Last year was the year for at least Shields and perhaps Schlein or McGowan to back up "the big three" !! I seem to recall Lyons had a shocker in the WC final last year and didn't do much to help the Aussies cause. I wonder with Parker seeming to be enjoying a new lease of life at Glasgow and riding rather well whether he might get selected too. If it's a team of five I'd go with Shields and McGowan as well as the big three if it was my choice. No disrepect to Schlein (or Parker for that matter) but I think riding at the top level in the EL every week is a distinct advantage. SuzieQ
Boycey may be 37 but by no means out of it, could prove useful at Poole too for the Aussies! Mind you, that would give me a problem, shouting for Team GB except when Boycey was racing!
