Got the train times from Cardiff Central to Newport but how far is the stadium from there. Is it too far to walk?

I'd say it's a good 15 to 20 minute walk(at brisk speed) and unless you know the way there a VERY good chance of getting lost, I would not advise it. You could jump in a taxi outside the station and that would cost about £5-8. I know a few other forumers are planning on catching a train and wanted to know how far the stadium is form the track, prehaps all forumers who want to get from the station to the track together could get together and get a taxi or two between them?!

I would offer a lift but I'll be coming for the other end of Newport as I'll probably be picking up another forumer.

i would advise getting the train to queen street station, as the stadium is about 200yards from there, and its closer to the Prince Of Wales where a few forum members will be taking over....lol

FT, you've just had me in a panick there. Cardiff Central is closer to the stadium. And I'm staying in Cardiff centre on the Friday and Saturday evening.

I've just checked the Railway Timetables.

Last year there were additional trains running from Cardiff to Newport after the meeting.

Whilst the time tables don't show them, does anyone know if they are putting extra trains on after the GP?

Otherwise the trains at 10.20 and 11.20 are going to be very overcrowded!

After the GP last year there were massive ques but me,Pinny & his dad managed to push in by our mates :D;) .

From the Train Station to the Speedway would be a very long walk as basically the Train Station is in the Town Centre while the Speedway is right on the other side of town!.However there are taxis outside the Station always and I would say like SCB said that it will be about £5-£8.
