Agree with PR. Nothing can justify a wild card, home rider, for this meeting.

I've been supporting Speedway since the early 60s and have always 'read' the riders from gate 1 to 4. I appreciate your race cards and the time you spend making them available to us all. As a user of them, the listing of riders from outside to inside gates is, to me, slightly off-putting. Please keep up the good work Bill

Russian nationals require only a Schengen visa to enter European countries, which is fairly easy for them to obtain. To visit the UK a totally different, UK only, visa is required, applying for which is a fairly long drawn out process, entailing visits to the embassy in Russia for biometric checks and often requiring a personal interview. There also has to be a deal of paperwork supplied before a visa can be issued.

Massive roadworks due on the A34, complete with average speed check cameras. We want to go up for this meeting from Southampton but will find an alternative route.

I'm in Southampton and my wife comes from Volgopgrad, Russia. We visit a couple of times a year, an express train trip from Volgograd to Vladivostok takes 7 DAYS. It's a slightly bigger country than England.....................
