Time to move on. It's all water under the bridge now. As fans we can only hope the powers that be close the door on another loop hole. Good luck to Poole and Belle Vue in the final. Let's hope both teams are at full strength, the weathers kind and the racings good.

Oops, an admition of guilt! Send Gater1 to the gallows! You won't be welcomed tonight with talk like that, tut, tut.

Time to do a rain dance.

RP, why do you use so many full stops in every post?
-
It's nearly 24hrs before the meeting and nothing about it on the Bees website? You could be right.

Fair play for commenting on here Neil. Much criticism is pointed at the Bees promotion but you still take time to post. It will always be a dammed if you do dammed if you don't situation when calling a meeting off.as fans we have to trust the promotors do what's right the fans, club and riders safety. I'm sure for the vast majority, racing on the Friday night is a good thing. Let's hope the weather holds, the riders are fit and the fans turn out in force to play their part. Bring it on!

Coventry weren't consulted, Sky made the call.

When you look at the line ups, there really isn't much in it. Both teams have riders who on the day can be sensational or mediocre. For me it will be Howarth/Watt and Sarjeant/Starke who will decide this meeting. If Howarth displays his form from his last couple of races Wednesday and Sargeant sits still at the start the Bees could take a an tidy lead to the second leg. 1. Chris Harris 1. Chris Holder 2. Kyle Howarth 2. Davey Watt 3. Danny King 3. Dakota North 4. Hans Andersen 4. Kacper Gomolski 5. Freddie Lindgren 5. Maciej Janowski 6. Jason Garrity. 6. Kyle Newman 7. James Sarjeant 7. Paul Starke

Horton said it when interviewed after the meeting. To be fair the stadium was empty by then. -

Well done the Bees. Good meeting considering the conditions. I'm looking forward to watching it tomorrow for all the pits action! Special mention for the cherry, who blossomed tonight. Shame that JK is out for the season. Hortons searching high and low for a replacement. What points do we have to play with? -
Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September

With the track being so wet, I doubt Troy, Summers, Zengi or Lewis will enjoy it. Nick and Peter will do well to stay on! Garrity will take 7 rides and win it for the bees. -
Coventry V Lakeside Monday 31st August
Brandon replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fear this could be the lowest attendance at Brandon for many years. Poor opposition, Monday night, full price, 2 more home meetings this week, the Sky blues at home and a weather forecast that's less than encouraging. Attendance - One lady and her dog -
After the week we've had in speedway the last thing anyone should be moaning about is getting their monies worth when a poor lad is on the track waiting motionless for an ambulance at 10.45pm. The crash was similar to Darcys. I only hope Dan is ok.

No Robson Friday. -
So will Steffan Nielsen be back?

Thanks for reminding us of that!

I wasn't digging at Poole, more the rule. All teams would do the same, dosnt make it right. The fact it was in front of the sky cameras where the exposure is greater dosnt look good on them.

On reflection who were the winners and losers at last nights debacle? Winners: Poole speedway - they got maximum points for an away meeting without completing the meeting? Erm....... Losers: Coventry Speedway - lost gate revenue, lost points, disgruntled fans....... Poole speedway (yes I have put them in both) - they did what any other team would have done in the same position and forced the result. Sadly it was on live TV, thus demosnstrating a win at all cost attitude that dosnt go down well with the rest of the speedway fans. Coventry riders - placed at risk by incompetent match officials, loss of earnings, unable to provide entertainment Poole riders - placed at risk by incompetent match officials, loss of earnings, unable to provide entertainment Sky - appalling embarrassing coverage. Watching Pearson and Tatum being buffeted by driving rain and Gail forced winds said it all. Who's going to bother watching next time! BSPA - farcical rules, conditions and meeting management. Even FIFA would do a better job. The paying public - for those hardy fans who attended they have been the biggest losers. Paying full price to watch an off race night meeting that should never had ran then be called off after seeing a handful of below national league standard races. All credit to those that went, I bet many will think against it next time multiplying the impact on an already suffering Coventry Speedway (threat of closure). Whoever is responsible be proud of yourselves, you may have got what you wanted but Know one else did. And they call it entertainment. No doubt as Pearson and Tatum kept saying, there's plenty of great meetings coming up live on Sky, starting at Poole Wednesday. Good luck to them all, let's hope the weathers good.

Coventry Storm V Kent Kings - Friday 15th May - 7.30pm
Brandon replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
Tough ask for the Storm tonight but they will give it a good go. This league isn't all about winning, it's about blooding the youngsters too. With the weather nice get behind them tonight Bees fans. -

Why is this not at Brandon, the Friday night race night? -
King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April
Brandon replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably a daft question, do guest meeting scores affect riders averages? Hard meeting for the Bees but they kept plugging away. Had JKs engine not gone and Robson not lost count after 2, we would have got a point. No shame in loosing at Kings Lynn. Better than a draw at home -
The Mighty Bees Vs Belle Vue 24/04/15
Brandon replied to Game On's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought the atmosphere was flat again. Not having the start line jingles, modern music and a capable DJ/compare dosnt help. What has happened to Andy Williams as well? Having said that, the meeting was ran at a good pace. That seemed to encourage a few more to stay behind for the MDL meeting. Comfortable win for the Bees. Agree heat 15 was an odd call, though we don't know why Havvy went with Jk and Danny. Should always be trying to win the last race, it rounds the evening off.
