Redcar v eastbourne koc semi finals 6/7 sept
sidewinder replied to ruckerroo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sure is. I always thought, Eastbournes top 4, would score well enough, around Redcar, to keep it close. Eastbourne must be favourites now, with their home advantage, (not much of that at Redcar). Should still be close though. I have always said, that race track, against trick track (sorry technical track), trick track wins, on aggregate. -

Thank you for that info. Did it once apply, when a rider, was due to make an appearance, with their own club. The way the rule currently stands, seems to make it beneficial to the riders own club. Me personally, I would be in favour of doing away with the rule altogether. -

So would he be eligible, when his official club, come calling in under 8 days time. I believed it worked before and after. -

Don't think Covatti, would be eligible, due to the 8 day rule. Somerset are at Redcar, on the 30th of August. -
No argument from me on that.

Would agree with most of that, but I am certain, Tom benefitted from Drew Kemps EF, (think it was in ht8).

That's your opinion, you are entitled to it.

His attitude around Redcar, might have been garbage, but the way he rode the place wasn't garbage. Incidentally, I thought he was unlucky last night, to be on the end, of two sublime passes, from Wrighty and MPT.

Eastbourne v Glasgow Semi Final
sidewinder replied to Hunters's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All this is in your opinion. I am definitely not a Cook fan, but I don't see how he could slow down, in the time that the marshal, walked in front of him. Only a lunatic, would walk into the path of a moving speedway bike. This is what caused Cooks reaction, (lets face it, it does not take much, to fire him up). Cook disobeyed many things and there are lots of questions to be answered, but you cannot ignore the provocation. It is, his only mitigation. This issue should have been addressed back in the pits. -

Cook has got previous, when it comes to clashes, with marshals and their authority. This time, the marshal was asking for trouble, moving in front of Cook. I should imagine, Cook was pretty shocked at what the marshal did and that probably caused, his angry response (not saying it was justified). Its a classic case of two wrongs, don't make a right. Cook should not have been on track and the marshal, should know better, than to walk in front of a moving speedway bike. Cook did not handle it great, but there was provocation there. Cook should have been tackled, when he got back to the pits. -
Redcar v Eastbourne Sunday 4th
sidewinder replied to Norfolk Bear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That would seem about right. He started very well (clever 1st ride), but gradually faded. It has to be said, he was in some tough races. Overall, Richard Lawson, deserved more than his 12 points. Lewis Kerr, quite frankly I was disappointed in him, I have seen him perform, much better here. Kyle Newman tried and on another day, may have scored a few more. Georgie Wood isn't very good around Redcar. Alfie Bowtelle seemed to get better as the meeting progressed. Jason Edwards, very impressed with him, you may have one there. Its fine margins, on another day, the score could have been much closer. -

Think it will be a bit tighter than that. -

Would think, that whatever the start time, would rule out, most of Eastbourne's support. Pity though, because I anticipate a close meeting, especially if Rich Lawson,is on his best Redcar form. Eddie Kennett, Lewis Kerr and Kyle Newman, aren't too shabby either, around the MPA. -
Glasgow v Redcar CL 2/8/19@19.30

I think, if the bears, can do the unthinkable and take a point or two, off Cookie and Rasser, then this match, could get very tight. -

Redcar Bears official website, also not working (domain problems apparently). -
It certainly doesn't, when you blow most of your points on your top five. You pays your money, you takes your choice.
