At least I can blame the drink for my posts then Whats your excuse ?

Ed K - Confident and classy for the PL, tried 100% every race I saw him in last season Jason G and Nelson - Excitement but inconsistent Kasper - Excitement if he can get away from the line Jakobsen - Wild Card (hopefully another Linus) Luke - Dependable Steve B - With good machinery and a bit of application, worth his place in the team. Overall and without injuries, could be very strong at home and maybe get the odd point at away tracks. Lots of ifs and buts, but being ever the optimist (unlike Shads, lol) I hope we can be mid-table vying for one of the minor play off spots.

Just saw the result from the 1st round of Aussie Champs. Tyson not bad result after a year out not racing regularly. Got 8 points, beat Sedgeman, C Holder, J Ringwood and others I do not recognise. Admittedly not a world beater but good start to work from. Now we just got to wait to see if he gets his visa !!!!

Australian Arthur Sissis showed up on the racing radar screen in 2011 in his second season of the Red Bull Rookies Cup. Born in Adelaide, Australia on July 15, 1995, he first raced at aged 7, winning many junior titles in a range of riding disciplines. He was first selected for the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2009. In 2011 he was a podium regular and challenged Lorenzo Baldassari for the title in the final race. His efforts clinched him a place in the Red Bull KTM Ajo team for 2012, with which he scored his maiden podium at his home race in Phillip Island. He remained with the team for 2013 but did not get the results he wanted and this season he will try his luck again, this time with Mahindra Racing. Certainly has good pedigree in Moto GP3, now to see if he can ride the shale track as well.

I'm sure it will be okay, Len filled it in with a different colour crayon this year and in big big letters for our friends in the Phillipines. Where visas are now processed. I notice that team mates as expected riding 4 and 5 do not race together. Not to much team riding there methinks )))

If it happens, I would be fairly happy with that team )) The 3 worries I would have are all injury related. 1. Anders to come back only if fully fit. 2. Adam to try and have an injury free season. 3. If Jason and Tyson ever race together it could look like a demolition derby out there

Catch up everybody, these rumours are all about 3 or 4 weeks old. Anybody got anything new ? )) The real truth will be found out during and after next weeks promoter conference. For what its worth, the one I heard was a lot more drastic than those mentioned above ))
-
Maybe Len has a secret weapon for next year )) Guy Martin practicing on the track at Rye today Lots of riders, some on flat track and some on speedway bikes. No obviously recognisable riders.
-
Draught Beer or Cider ? They were going to renew the 'Temp' stand, but as nobody could think of a new name for it, they decided to keep it
-
Almost Promoters Conference time and no team declared ??? Something's not right. Shutting down ? Going National league ?? Anybody heard anything ?

Rye House V Berwick Sunday 24th August
bolly replied to DragonsDen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Whatever Mainwaring and Wilson do, I think we're doomed, all doomed. The wake will start at about 5.00pm in the Rye Pub -
What's this ? You know something we don't Chris ???
-
I hear those sneaky b******s at FIM have slipped the SWC final in next Saturday without telling Len till a few days before. So he has had to change all his plans that he has had arranged for weeks )))
-
I noticed that nobody including Len have pointed out the nightmare run of form Luke is in at present. Hope now his testimonial is out the way he can recover a bit. Eddie Anders Jason G (if he can be bothered) Jason B (on current form) Look to be a stronger (foursome) team than we have been putting out recently.

Rye House V Workington... 5th July, 7pm
bolly replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tsunami, you will note that Shadders comment is aimed at the general track staff (rakers and flag marshalls). I think that you will find that 'Qualified Start Marshalls like Qualified Referees are paid (maybe just expenses) by one of the central bodies controlling the sport. And I use the word controlling very loosely )) -

The comedy was the starting marshall and oppo, start marshalls I am led to believe are paid by BSPA (I may be wrong) ?? -

Sorry to here about Jason G's food poisoning, which stops him from racing for Rye tonight. But look on the bright side, he'll be ok again at about 9.30pm tonight. Me cynical !!! I don't know what you mean. -

Nielsen 9+2, Garrity 17 for their respective ELITE teams tonight. Would be relatively happy if they got anywhere near that in the PREMIER league tomorrow But I suppose we will see the obligatory bike problems and crashes and they will struggle to hit double figures between them )) -

Total embarrassment tonight. Walked out after 11 heats.. -
'It left Rye House team manager John Sampford to reflect on a match that clearly got away in its second half - and he considered the changing track conditions to be a key factor. “We were in the ascendancy when the circuit was damp and grippy, and they didn’t seem to be able to handle it as well as us. Once it had dried out a little and slickened off, their trapping became much better than ours – and on a slicker surface that became critical'. Above is a quote from John Sampford taken from press release after thursdays match at Ipswich. Therefore it begs the question as to why the team does well on grippy tracks when 50% of its fixtures will be on the well slick track at Rye or whether the track at Rye can be made grippier in some way. But I don't think I will ask the question to the management or I may be forced to step down as a supporter and consider my future at Rye. As a certain team captain recently has !!! I will be expecting a Rye win but they have so many problems at present which do not appear to be being addressed,

The baby will be born in or around Hoddesdon presumably, therefore born and bred Rockets fan. So its 2 to 1 Rockets at Ipswich. I'm sure there is a train station at Sheffield See how brave I am when I'm miles away, By the way I think I may be washing my hair on Saturday night I'm not brave enough to face Sarah when I'm sober lol -

So I spose your gonna watch your real favourite team up at Sheffield ??? Gotta keep the woman happy, especially when she's in a delicate condition. She could really damage herself whilst beating you up ))) See you Saturday, Chris MacCharalambous -
Just a matter of time I would of thought. I bet Lens on the phone to Simon L right now or maybe just working out any fixture clashes in Little Bens calender. Len and John looking outside the box?? Its a big scary world out there so we'll stay with what we know until forced kicking and screaming into the present day.
