  1. Pity I cannot make it this year, but my prediction is; 1. Hughes 2. Ellis 3. Branford 4. Morley
  2. From my reckoning, Raiders require a win next Sunday at Mildenhall (4 point hopefully)and if they can squeeze a point at Cradley or Coventry they go through, Max Coventry can get is 30 points from arranged matches. Raiders theoretically can get 12 points from their matches before cut off, giving them a possible total of 38. Could be very tight right up to the cut off!!!!!!
  3. Gutted for the Rye House pair, one missed start all night and it had to be in the knockout semi-final of the meeting. Looked head and shoulders the best team up until that point and again in the 3rd/4th run off. But at least if we couldn't win it. It was good to see Ben in the winning pair.
  4. Not tonight Ian, its tomorrow. Rob and Kyle at the pairs at KL tonight.
  5. WOT NO KYLE HUGHES ??? I think Kyle has been a revelation in his comeback season, looks smooth and controlled at all times. Should be a good match if the weather stays good.
  6. Being a wet Bank Holiday afternoon with no speedway. I looked on the Lea Valley Regional Park Website and their plans for the future of Rye House Stadium. 'Rye House Stadium to continue as an area of leisure activities but with substantial environmental improvements including landscaping, facility modernisation and measures that reduce noise pollution. The impact of the site on the rest of the Proposal area to be reduced and the appearance of the site from the Navigation, the New River and Rye House Gatehouse to be improved. Rye House Stadium is currently in a poor state of repair and has an adverse impact on the Lee Navigation and adjoining high quality historic and nature conservation sites. The enhancement of this site is integral to providing an improved waterway corridor and enhanced Park entrance. The site’s proximity to future residential development (beyond the Regional Park) will require higher environmental standards.' Maybe Len was getting pressure from Freehold Owners and decided to bring in Warren Scott to shell out all the cash required, cannot see it being a quick win in financial terms, so must be looking to try to change use or be in it for the long term ? PS. Whenever I have approached Warren at Rye House, he has stopped and given answers to questions and appears to be genuinely interested in the Speedway team ???
  7. Hold the talk about Rye being able to field their declared 1-7 on BH Monday for the first time in many months. Dan Greenwood accident at Coventry this evening, taken to hospital by ambulance. Drifting in and out of consciousness according too updates site. Concussion is an automatic 7 day ban/rest from racing I think ?
  8. Adam Ellis after Lakeside last meet on the 31st Aug, has only Brum meetings ?? Everything's happening so fast at Rye House. I just can't think its Len driving it ??? We've had riders in the team for 3 or 4 seasons before Len notices that the aren't scoring over 2 or 3 points a match before he does anything. Just waiting for the official announcement regarding 'Shadders' now. But honestly I think it will be a good move and I know he has been practising hard to get his CBT, so people cannot complain about his lack of experience. Interesting times....
  9. Leigh Lanham ‏@leigh_lanham 10h10 hours ago Disappointed my time @casesrebels is over...Struggled with a few things just lately but that's speedway... All the best boys🏼 Just seen this on twitter, but not seen confirmation anywhere else. anybody know about it ???
  10. I'm looking forward to a good afternoons entertainment. Danyon Hume - all action style, 100% win or fall off trying. Kyle Hughes - getting back to the form when he was challenging for a Rockets place. Luke and Luke engine room of the Raiders scoring regular decent points. Alfie 'Bo' and Sam Woods improving each week. and of course this afternoons guest Ben Morley, not so much a guest, as a reserve No 1, Good luck to all, and hopefully no injuries and no dust )))
  11. Who was it in the crowd that the Garrity gang had a go at I wonder ???
  12. Putting Robin into main body of team not good ((
  13. Jesper Scharff rides with Anders at Munkebo in Danish League (21 years old) was qualifier to Euro U21 champs recently. Same points as NBJ and beat Michel Bech amongst others. Zdenek Holub (b. February 19, 1996) - Czech rider , son of Zdenek Holub - also speedway rider. Silver medalist of the individual youth championships Czech Republic (2013 [1] ). Bronze medalist of the European Junior Championships team ( Opole 2013 ) Finalist individual world junior championships as a player with the " wild card "( 2012 - XXVIII place). Finalist individual junior European Championships ( Güstrow 2013 - the seventeenth place). Finalist of the European Championship pairs ( Herxheim 2013 - VI place). Bronze medalist team at the Junior World Championships ( Pardubice 2013 ). Viktor Kulakov U21, Russian (non-EU) ? Michele Paco Castagna Italian,21yo Italian champion, ridden in world cup for Italy, openly stated a number of times, wants to ride in UK Don't know if that info helps Ben ? Maybe they will come in on 7 ave ?
  14. Jesper Scharff Zdenek Holub Viktor Kulakov Michele Paco Castagna Get Warren Scott to open up the 'Restart' wallet and have a look at some of these European U21 riders. Not sure if they would come in on an average that would fit ? Do young Euro riders come in on a 5 ??
  15. Cant think of many out there that will fit ?? Mat Tress ? Is Nicolai Klindt riding ? Or maybe double switch, D Greenwood out and a mixture of Luke, Joe Jacobs, Richie H, Jason Bunyan, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Adam Ellis. All guesses and not known if available etc...
  16. Anders had a practice skid, yesterday or day before. So if all okay, Cannot be too far from returning.
  17. Just had an update, he's out from Hospital and hoping to be down tonight ))
  18. Well there shouldn't be any complaints about dust today. Been a fine mist of rain all morning and still going. Hopefully will dry up later this afternoon and will have a perfect track for racing tonight. As Shads says it is a pity we cannot field seven Rye riders, we will also be missing a couple of regular fans. Mel Hicks on his honeymoon (no excuse in my books) and Dave Burden (Startline Sid) is in hospital after yet more complications with his knee operation (better excuse than Mel, lol ). Good luck to all riders, Mel and Sid. I will have a little pre race drink to toast your various excuses in missing this meeting Gonna be a tough one but hopefully Rye to win.
  19. But I haven't seen many faster than Kasper out of turn 2 and down the back straight.
  20. Just what I was thinking !!! By the way can we make the entrance free, as I am a bit skint this month ?
  21. Anymore injuries or absences for Rye House and Redcar will be the Home Team, based on experience of track Stuart, Ben, Adam and R/R are all well known at Rye. (Only joking, before the pooh starts flying)
  22. According to my programme the score after 7 heats was 30 - 12 ??? Perhaps we were watching different matches ?? That's 6 points ahead if you allow for 12 point lead. 18 points on the day.
  23. Chris, leave to remain visa, is a visa allowing a foreign national to stay in the country, work, pay tax etc.. Often used as the final step before becoming UK citizen after neccessary qualifying period. Must spend most of time in UK though, cannot swop between UK and other countries without certain criteria being met. If Aussie riders have UK families and stay during winter period, can apply after a couple of years here I think. PS. Are you back for Sunday meeting ?
  24. Okay, give him a chance to get back to racing speed. Chris, were going to get walloped by 19. lol
  25. I thought it was NBJ and KL both out due to Danish championships. R/R for NBJ and Paul Starke in as guest for KL at reserve. But I may be wrong, ???
