I agree with Shadders that Mellgren looked good last night, other than Ht 15 against both Nimenen and Karlson, he had one bad moment where he picked up grip, straightened up an almost wiped out the rest of the field on the apex of bends 1-2. Gjedde looked ok, but needs to show quicker gating and maybe a bit more determination in the first couple of bends. Jordan still to recapture his peak form, maybe still nursing the scaphoid injury a little. Richie looked to be 100% effort and made on superb pass on a one racing line track. Needs better machinery ?? Luke had a good meeting and when he got out of the gates did well to hold off Karlson. Bunyan was there and there abouts all night in the points every race including a heat 2 win. Garrity looked to struggle away from the gate and then did not have power or skill to get back on terms with other riders. Points dropped I'm afraid not 1 point gained

I have just noticed on the BSPA site, what has been a fairly well kept secret that Rye House Stadium is now the home track of the MK Dons, MDL spedway team. I presume the matches will be run after Rockets or Raiders matches as was the case last week at the Peterborough Challenge match ? It came to me as a bit of a suprise that Hoddesdon is in the midlands now I know that it used to be a Greyhound track, maybe that will be reinstated with Whippet racing as well ?

Because the 'Len Bashers, Doom mongers, and general misery guts' want it to be )) So they can come on this forum and generally say 'I told you so'.

But not since the new shale with the dust dampener went down ?? Much better outside lines and very little dust now (fingers crossed for a bank holiday double header)

As challenges go, this is pretty good. I am looking forward to seeing Tai, Eddie and Linus on the Rye track again, but a great pity that Chris and a fully fit Jordan will not be matching themselves against them (( I see that Chris is back at home now and seems fairly upbeat on his twitter account. Hope to see him at Rye in the not to distant and maybe when he gets the 100% clear from the doctors, we will see him back on his bike

Very suprised to hear last night that Jordan (Frampton) is aiming to be back racing for next weeks challenge against Peterborough. Maybe prudent for his and the teams overall season for him to have another weeks recovery and comeback when we have a more meaningful match ???

Charlie Gjedde Tyron Proctor Dennis Andersen I do not know if they are available or if their averages exactly fit in, but they could all do the job as a number 1 at Rye House. It states in the local paper that Len has almost finalised the new look Rockets and it will be announced tomorrow (friday) I hope he can bring an ace out from his sleeve and get our season back on track, and I hope Chris can just concentrate on getting better ready for next season.

It says on the Rye website that Len is negotiating with a replacement for Chris Neath. My bet is that he will be signing our old favourite. But maybe he is checking the the signing will not claim a testimonial for his 10 years unbroken service with the club. Welcome back Rider Replacement. On a more serious note. I wouldn't be suprised to see Rob Mear back at Rye

Rumour has it that Steve Boxall has been dropped from Plymouth team. We will most probably sign him again and buy new bikes

Horrible crashes last night (( Rumour has it that Neathy maybe out for sometime ?? Short term plans need to be sorted. I dont know if it works numerically but how about extend Lanhams contract as required and draft in Gathercole for temp replacement of Nelson. Rest of team on last nights performance ; Jordan, looked good but needs to push that final bit to be in top grade of PL riders Hawkins, made at least one start and looked really good. Cannot think of many reasons not to go. Rain or shine you will find me with a beer in my hand standing on the start line stand front row ))) 1. Beer available 2. Live motorsport 3. Not being nagged and moaned at (unless Dave is there ) 4. Would only have to shell out for a takeaway or bottle of wine if at home 5. Bit of banter with all around me (sometimes at NL meetings I have to shout for anybody to hear me as they are few and far between ) Turn up watch the meeting and then moan at what you have witnessed, don't moan in advance, not attend and then moan about 2nd hand reports. Get off your ar*es and do it I doubt very much if Len reads this forum, but he is normally in the chip bar after the meeting and has never ignored me when I have asked a civil question. Sitting on here and slagging everybody off don't work.

Len treated Steve Boxall with kid gloves last year. Supplied him with bike etc. chose him over Jason Doyle (Much to the annoyance of a large section of the fans) when he recovered from injury, sustained during an interesting night out after last years press and practice day ??? And for most of the season his bike performed like a pig. Maybe lack of tuning or effort or money ??? Did not really repay the confidence and efforts of Len to bring him back into the fold. I've watched him since he started racing for the Raiders and like the guy, but I have my doubts he will last the season with you.

Linus v Neathy - Linus just Bach v Tyson - even MJJ v Richie/Luke - MJJ win Olly v Jordan - Jordan win Eddie v Tai - even Kyle v Richie/Luke - Richie/Luke win ??? v Jason G - ??? Head to head match ups look for a close match at Rye ?? If it was at the showground then it looks more like 6 out 7 to Panthers

Yes, I think your right Shadders, but Eddie is one of my favourite riders so it will be interesting to see some of the best Rye riders of the past 10 or so years up against each other Now if we can get Tommy and Brent as well
