  1. http://www.hatsandcaps.co.uk/Kangol-Bamboo-Mowbray-Pork-Pie-Hat--Black-P149987/?gclid=CK381NL77LYCFS7KtAodiCkAhA Mmmmm tasty )))
  2. I've seen him practising at Rye after meetings etc. and was as fast as Steve Boxall who was on track at same time. Also seen on internet that he has raced and beaten the likes of Smolinski and Hefenbrock in Germany. So he is pretty fast for his age. I think he has had a lot of clubs courting him, but it appears Len Silver seems to be high on the list of preferred options. Kings then Rockets maybe ??
  3. Result Richie gets a ride in Ht 15 as he 2nd top scores with 4
  4. Oh well, at least Ippo are being tonked at Workington, And Berwick are beating Sheffield ))
  5. 'Every Saturday Night at 7.00pm' Maybe its now, Sometimes on a Saturday Night at 7.00pm ?
  6. Its terrible here. I just went and had a pint at the Rye House pub, car now covered in dust
  7. Still dry in Rye House, which is a bu**er as I was looking forward to tonight I hope it rains now, before 7.00pm to make me feel a bit more accepting of tonights call off. Yes I know Len's normally correct, but this year seems to be so stop/start with the late start, very few NL meetings to use as infills and now the weather as well.
  8. I see Olly has been signed by Coventry to take over from Joe Screen. I presume its a double UP so we get preference if there any clashes in fixtures. Good Luck to him. As long as he stays safe and doesn't knacker all his best equipment I hope it will keep him sharp for the Rockets.
  9. In the U21 meeting thread it states that Jason has turned down offer of entry into World U21's, so it looks like he will be available for Rye ?
  10. More than likely if he does ok tonight. I have looked but can find very little info re. the qualification of UK riders to U21 world championship and whether there is any seeding which means they can bypass the qualis on the 11/5/13 ?
  11. Reserves didn't help, 13 + 6 for Somerset, 3 + 1 for Rye. You can cover a bit with 1 weak reserve, but with 2 having a bad night and having to take R/R rides you become a bit stuffed. Hurry back Jason and Simon.
  12. I see that the elite league has woken up and seen the form of Anders, guesting for Coventry tonight, I hope he stays safe
  13. Shadders, I'm not saying we are going to win the league or cup this year, but if the guys carry on like they have started its going to be interesting watching them try ))) Mid table to outside chance of play-offs as long as not to many more injuries. With Anders, Kasper, Jason G and Tyson all improving their averages.
  14. But theres a difference between any idiot seeing it written on the internet or in the paper and supporters who have actually seen and experienced the quality and enthusiasm of the young riders on track commenting on personal experience. I think most of your objections from previous years have now been rectified. Out and out number one, tick. Exciting new riders, tick. new shale and binder to reduce dust and produce better racing, tick. prices not increased now in line with most other PL clubs, tick. Hatred of Len Silver, still there i'm afraid. I am not in Lens little team or one of his mates, but I do like to know that Rye is not in threat of bankruptcy or begging for cash every season. Make the best of what we have and the sport that we follow. Support your team.
  15. So Chris what did you think of the team on track when you actually saw them at Rye House, Ipswich or Plymouth ? Whatever the averages say I think that we have some of the most exciting and capable of improvement riders in the league. Every member of the original seven has impressed at times, so unlucky to have another injury strewn start to the season like last year, team management would not of helped Bunyan and Lambert in their accidents, both sustained while trying to overtake opposing riders. Come and have a chat with us next time you get to track. Inline with the startline at the front of the stand.
  16. At least Len states that he is looking at replacements in todays Mercury. But I should think its R/R for at least a week or two.
  17. Rob was at Rye last weekend and not very complimentary about The Rockets when it was mentioned that he might want to rejoin the team for a while
  18. Well I make it 12.13 to use if Simon and Jason not in team. Charlies final average last year was 9.22 leaving 2.91, so unless BSPA have reduced his average I don't think it will work.
  19. You obviously didn't attend last year we had very little problem with the track since Len layed the new shale and used the binding additive to minimise the dust. With regards to the lack of ambulances at yesterdays meeting, even if two had been available then during the Bunyan/Makinen crash. I am sure that both would of been used to ferry both riders to hospital instead of telling Makinen to make his own way. As for availability of county ambulances that is beyond the control of even Len. Unfortunate meeting, hope for the quick recovery of all the injured riders and move on......
  20. Has anybody speculated yet on who can/will ride for the Rockets for the short/medium term future as it looks as though Simon and Jason B will be out for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for Simon and ??? for Jason B. Ben Morley Steve Boxall Richie Hawkins Are likely candidates, with Taylor Poole Emiliano Sanchez Jordan Frampton as longshots Maybe its time for the return of 'TOMMY ALLEN' I've got no idea, but I would think that Ben Morley will be in for next weekend with our old mate R/R.
  21. People moan and whinge everytime something like this happens. Yesterday was a very similar scenario to the first meeting of last season but at Ippos track: Very cold weather Track preperation questioned Riders with not much track time, looking to impress No second ambulance Long Delays for injured riders and track repairs Result Badly Injured riders Cold and miserable spectators Keyboard Commandos setting the world to rights without leaving their living room seats Its no good sitting on here and moaning about it and trying to score points off the opposition (they dont count for league places), go to the meetings keep the interest and turnover moving, speak to your promoter or who ever with your thoughts and maybe think of sensible ways of improving the sport we all love.
  22. Well done Shads, I was just trying to work out how to post a link to that )) Good wishes to Jason, hope he will be back soon.
  23. Just got back from the meeting and a quick après liquid libration. Len arrived at the Pub and when asked how Jason was he said not good. I do not wish to spread any news without facts, but I think it may be sometime before we see Jason Bunyan back on a bike. Maybe we should not have Ipswich as our opening opponents to the season as they seem feted to end up with both teams losing riders to injuries. My best wishes to all riders Jason, Simon and Jari and hope for a speedy recovery to all injuries sustained.
