  1. Technology now allows us to read his updates trackside and abuse him in person We know where you sit, Mr Charalambous
  2. All joking aside, I was most impressed by Steve B to come back and look as fast as he did, I am not sure of the rules but I presume he cannot ride for the rockets at reserve as he has previously had a PL average above 4 ? Jason is just an out and out racer and goes for it in any situation, interesting to compare with Nelson who looks like a sensible racer when in direct comparison, but we know from previous meetings etc, that he goes for anything he sees and is normally the wildest on the track. Ben still seems to lack out and out speed, whether it is machinery or if he just does not carry enough speed around the bends, I dont know. Was trying to cut back too often on Saturday when a blast around the outside may have been a better option in some cases. But overall a good meeting racing and overtaking wise.
  3. Its a pity that Steve B ran short of fuel towards the end of the meeting and he couldn't find the filler cap, so was unable to take his place in the semi final. The 3 riders that were the the class of the field were Steve, Jason and Nelson. Morley, Halsey and Manzares were not far off the pace. Really only one or two wobblers in the line up. Overall some good races.
  4. Both of us in the crowd enjoyed most of the meeting. But it did drag a bit when they stopped the racing when one of us went to the loo or the bar
  5. Good meeting for the level it is being run at. Lots of passing practice for Jason G Steve B and Tyson. Manzares looks ok but just fell and is being treated on track for back and hip injury.
  6. Not sure £ 14.00 I think, nice and sunny now )) Yes just checked it is £14 for adults
  7. Rain and thunderstorm at present in Hoddesdon. Will track be waterlogged tonight ?? All riders available, so probably not
  8. Maybe just trying out the excuse for Belle Vue on Monday ? Nah it must be true because Len hasn't published an apology
  9. Most probably had to sign in and practice on Saturday ?
  10. Scorecard on updates. Try this link http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=world&action=display&thread=12140
  11. http://www.hatsandcaps.co.uk/Kangol-Bamboo-Mowbray-Pork-Pie-Hat--Black-P149987/?gclid=CK381NL77LYCFS7KtAodiCkAhA Mmmmm tasty )))
  12. I've seen him practising at Rye after meetings etc. and was as fast as Steve Boxall who was on track at same time. Also seen on internet that he has raced and beaten the likes of Smolinski and Hefenbrock in Germany. So he is pretty fast for his age. I think he has had a lot of clubs courting him, but it appears Len Silver seems to be high on the list of preferred options. Kings then Rockets maybe ??
  13. Result Richie gets a ride in Ht 15 as he 2nd top scores with 4
  14. Oh well, at least Ippo are being tonked at Workington, And Berwick are beating Sheffield ))
  15. 'Every Saturday Night at 7.00pm' Maybe its now, Sometimes on a Saturday Night at 7.00pm ?
  16. Its terrible here. I just went and had a pint at the Rye House pub, car now covered in dust
  17. Still dry in Rye House, which is a bu**er as I was looking forward to tonight I hope it rains now, before 7.00pm to make me feel a bit more accepting of tonights call off. Yes I know Len's normally correct, but this year seems to be so stop/start with the late start, very few NL meetings to use as infills and now the weather as well.
  18. I see Olly has been signed by Coventry to take over from Joe Screen. I presume its a double UP so we get preference if there any clashes in fixtures. Good Luck to him. As long as he stays safe and doesn't knacker all his best equipment I hope it will keep him sharp for the Rockets.
  19. Thought never even crossed my mind Thought never even crossed my mind
  20. In the U21 meeting thread it states that Jason has turned down offer of entry into World U21's, so it looks like he will be available for Rye ?
  21. More than likely if he does ok tonight. I have looked but can find very little info re. the qualification of UK riders to U21 world championship and whether there is any seeding which means they can bypass the qualis on the 11/5/13 ?
  22. Reserves didn't help, 13 + 6 for Somerset, 3 + 1 for Rye. You can cover a bit with 1 weak reserve, but with 2 having a bad night and having to take R/R rides you become a bit stuffed. Hurry back Jason and Simon.
  23. I see that the elite league has woken up and seen the form of Anders, guesting for Coventry tonight, I hope he stays safe
