  1. Yet again Rye House shows that a little club can have such a major influence on British Speedway. Six current or ex-riders in the British Finals meeting, Three of them in the semi/final of the meeting and Jason G being the most talked about rider not to make the finals. Like him or loathe him, Len Silver manages to get some of the best of british to ride for the club and most of the younger ones seem to improve on the experience. We all have our moans and groans about the club every season, but I for one am happy to be a Rye fan and see our 'old boys' do well in the national finals and one now doing very well in the GP's.
  2. Quote of the night 'I'm just Jason Garrity, here to enjoy myself, doing the best I can'. Good on you Jase
  3. It was a joke, hence the smiley at the end of the post. So what the BSPA fined was an under number team not an understrength team ???
  4. If Rye get hit with an understrength team fine and win the match, then Sheffields team was obviously weaker than ours and should also receive an understrength fine
  5. 5 man Rockets doing us proud tonight. Saving all your money to give to homeless In the west end Shads )))
  6. Ok. Im wrong about Mellgren he just went round about 3 secs faster than other races ))) Olly just ended uo in tommys favourite place but he went under catch fence. Up and ok Lykke riding out of his skin. Just done 4 on the trot. Chris didnt you hear Len at start of meeting. Maybe you missed this meeting ?
  7. Ok. Im wrong about Mellgren he just went round about 3 secs faster than other races )))
  8. Presume rider order changed. Bunyan 5 and r/r ?. Confused of rye house
  9. Starting up again. Just to keep fairweather fans up to date. Shadders
  10. Black clouds but dry at present. Nobody here Sba. Have ruled that no reserve can be used to cover Nelsons rides
  11. Just had a sharp shower in Rye House, but not enough to cancel meeting
  12. Here's the link to the World U21 that Nelson should be in, http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/wydarzenie/16134 He hasn't shown in his first 2 races so I presume he isn't there.
  13. its been spotting with rain all morning, a bit windy and sunny spells but lots of clouds on the horizon. Now back to Shadders in the studio
  14. I think Lens letting all the moaners (including myself) hang themselves today. Every forecast I look at says anything from thunderstorms to heavy rain in the area at 8.00pm tonight And tomorrow on here everybody will be saying why didnt he call it off earlier when the forecasts were so bad. Lucky I only live 5 minutes from stadium.
  15. Meeting abandoned after 10 heats, result stands ??? I thought it was 12 heats for result to stand ?Has it changed ??
  16. Taken from Hertfordshire Mercury today. 'RYE House Rockets face Sheffield Tigers in the Knockout Cup this Saturday uncertain whether star rider Tyson Nelson will be available or not because of visa problems. The 20-year-old Australian who has been scoring consistently – and highly – for the Hoddesdon team so far this season, was due to ride in a World U-21 Championship qualifying round at Chervonograd in the Ukraine on the same night. However, on Wednesday (May 8) he hadn’t been issued with a visa allowing him to travel to eastern Europe. Tyson was forced to sit out all of last season in Australia after he was unable to sort out a visa to ride in this country. Rockets’ team manager John Sampford has been left in limbo by the latest situation. Although carrying a starting average of 5.52, Nelson has been paid for a mammoth 62 points across the Rockets’ first seven matches this year. Sampford told the Mercury: “I’ve had the impossible challenge of finding a nine point rider with a five-point average. “My top two choices as guests on stand by were declined. With the greatest respect the others lined up weren’t up to scratch.' The last bit translates to 'nobody decent will ride for peanuts, so we have to use a wobbler'
  17. Nelson might well be racing at Rye on Saturday. I appears the Ukrainians don't like the look of his visa, The one with 2011 crossed out and 2013 written over it
  18. We have Bunyan, Lambert and Nelson out on Saturday. All due respect but Morley is not the answer to replace Lambert. And if we ride R/R for Nelson it puts pressure on Jason G and Kasper to perform. If Steve can nurse his bike through a full meeting, he looked as fast as Nelson last Saturday, but he cannot come in as reserve as he has previously held a PL average of above 4 ?? Richie Hawkins ? Micky Dyer ? as guest options ?
  19. I would have thought Steve can come in for Nelson next Saturday, but I'm not sure ?
