  1. Trouble is that with latest averages, Robbo back into main body of team and Sedgeman drops to reserve. If you lose Sedgeman, Kasprzak fits and leaves 3.84 for second reserve. Who knows, stranger things have happened ???
  2. Lovely Guy and fast once he is underway. But he gives everybody else a couple of metres start in each race. If we could mix Ben Morleys starts to Kaspers speed, then he would be and ideal candidate for a reserve berth in the Premiership.
  3. How about Luke or Stevie B, what would they come in on ? I think both would be a match for Ben around Rye, Not that I dislike Ben, just looking at options. Haven't seen much of the new riders coming through since No Raiders this season and just visited Mildenhal once this year,
  4. I for one would just like to state that the person standing next to this Shads person wearing glasses, beard and hat (Oh pooh... will have to change my disguise now) is not me. Nor is it me in the photo of this Mr Shads person and a guy in glasses beard and hat, eating pie and peas at Redcar Speedway and I am sure I have not stood next to him at Peterborough, Somerset, Scunthorpe, Mildenhall, Ipswich, Cardiff and other speedway tracks. But I do agree with his right to say whatever he wishes as long as it is not slanderous or in any other way illegal. And I appreciate the time, effort and cost he expends by posting updates and comments on the various internet forums, to which when I am unavailable to attend in person I am an avid reader. Maybe you just misunderstood some of Mr Shads posts or tweets when they were read to you. And as for not having Greeks in Berwick. who do you think introduced the borders to the delicacy of Deep Fried Kebabs ???? PS. Most of paragraph one is a lie )))
  5. Only decided to go on Friday and it looks like other than the Morley gang in the grandstand at the startline. I saw no other Rye House fans there. Coventry stadium does the job and if the size of the crowd for what was billed as a major event is an indication of the sports popularity, then there is not going to be much money to make improvements or move to better premises. I was worried that Rye House 'Raiders' were a 3 man team and that other teams would have more strength in depth, but for once Rye were lucky ( Luke's fall I'm ht1 final, was negated Perks and Shuttleworth being DQ'd} and a couple of other instances of Rye either missing or not being penalised in other races). Falls and engine failures happening to others. Sam Woods - Hero, did exactly what was required of him, sat on the bike and scored in every race. Luke Priest - Always giving it all, unlucky to fall when diving in for 2nd in the first ht in the final. Rob Branford - Excellent performance, aggressive. skillfull a great asset to the Raiders. Ben Morley - Rapidly becoming an irreplaceable part of the team, gives the appearance of young and mild rider, but has what is required when it is needed. perhaps not the most naturally gifted rider, but look inside his trophy cabinet and see how he performs when the pressure is on. Well done Rye #goraiders My view on the Shuttleworth/Perks handbags, was that whatever happened between them on track. Perks hit the airbag/fence quite hard and had gone underneath it, Shuttleworth ran over and dragged him out from beneath the bag and then started into him, with a couple of jabs to the helmet a haymaker to the body armour and a kick to the box. He should have waited for the paramedic to check him out before trying to knock him out. lol..
  6. 4.30pm One mile from track and still dry and mild. A bit cloudy but no problem for speedway at present.
  7. Don't think the other riders were team mates with Luis Salom at KTM in 2013. RIP.
  8. Close meeting, but dragged on a bit following injury to Macauley Leek. Impressed with young Dan Bewley when he gets away from the gate he is smooth and very fast. Needs some experience and knowledge in what to do when he misses the gate. On the plus side Luke Priest and George Hunter. Good as expected Rob and Ben. But apart from them we have such a long tail that I think we are going to struggle. No complaints with effort, but more points needed.
  9. Should be fine on the wide sweeping turns at Rye House then
  10. Most probably adding 2 and 2 to make 5, but has anybody noticed that Lewis Bridger keeps tweeting that he is in training and almost back to race weight?? Not my favourite character but isn't he rumoured to be mates with Edward K and Edward is helping to select team?
  11. I thought you said they filled in the crap hole last week
  12. A little worrying that our new joint team manager doesn't know what league his riders are racing in. Hume in PL according to comments on Rye Fans fb site.
  13. Max Ruml ???? Rye House look like their writing off the 2016 season and looking to build for the future. Presume he will come in on a 5 so therefore makes Cameron Heeps a heat leader with Robbo and Eddie. Lets hope for some exciting racing and good improvement from the youngsters - Heeps, Kasper-Lykke, and Ben. To be honest cannot see us troubling the play-offs this year. But I will be more than happy to be proved wrong.
  14. Valentin Grobauer did quite well in the world U21's last year (German) and I have not heard his name mentioned by anybody on the forum. Don't know what average he comes in on ?
  15. At the risk of getting loads of hate mail from the older Rye fans, do we think that Robbo is going to maintain or improve his average this year ? With the general cock up on team building this year, I cannot think of many options other than maybe losing Robbo or Leigh if Klindt has actually decided to not ride for Rye House, then see if Pontus is available (don't know his current average) then look for somebody to fit in with the points left, Rosen, Palovarra, Eklof, Graversen. Maybe this sort of shuffle was in the minds of Rye management when they contacted Jye Etheridge, wouldn't lie to think they were thinking of a 1 for1 swop, Klindt for Etheridge as this would have left us at least one point below limit (usual Len team ? ) There you go, as much as I admire Robbo and was thrilled by his efforts and exploits in our winning team. I see him as a 3rd heat leader who is not going to improve in future, a job which Leigh Lanham can do at Rye House and I don't think either can do regularly on away tracks. Now I put on flak jacket, hard hat and stand back. I don't know why I am surprised, cock ups on the team front seem to be part and parcel of Rye management. NB. Tyson Nelson, Stevie B, Jason Doyle, Rob Lambert, NBJ etc. etc.
