  1. well done to the BSPA and youth development for organising this meeting, this surely is how an Academy meeting should be held. Kids of similar age and all on the same standard of equipment, this is better than watching a 14 year old being beaten by a premier league rider or conference league rider. Saying that though watching the 2 boys Morris and Owen they wouldnt have looked out of place in the main meeting, especially having watched heat 6. Its good to see them all have a few tussels in their races, Portwood and Bint in heat 5 as they rounded bends 3 and 4. Enjoyed this meeting more than Workington under 15s last week as all the boys left the track smiling. Nice to see the some of the kids from the mini track who watched the main meeting, interested in the 250cc. We now lead the world in the use of 250cc. BSPA dont muck it up.
  2. Gordi, Regarding the message above especially the end, would you be talking about the unsportmanship behaviour like the one I saw at Redcar last year when a 250cc rider shook the hand of all the riders, but turned his back when Mark offered his hand. What are the youngsters going to be like when they grow up if they have attitude like that now. His father, sorry not sure of his name, should straighten this lad out now!! Unless his father has the same attitude, I'm not sure, but this shouldn't happen with them at such a young age. You have to learn to loose occasionally. Must go, am off to Weymouth.
  3. I see your asking about Mark and Dale, but what about all the 250cc riders? Will there be any this year as I understand there is supposed to be a 250cc championship. Is Shane riding a 500cc or still on his 250cc, so Oaksy bends the rules again, and the BSPA and the refs look on!!! What does everyone else think about the mixed capacities?
  4. If this was hastily arranged on the 12th July, smacks of desperation as a meeting went ahead on the 13th July at Kings Lynn, that was, I understand, arranged by 8 parents and a promoter, and was a blinding success. Parents have invested heavily in engines and machinery only for them to go unused apart from practise days and some second half racing. Not the stuff of future champions or winning teams. Perhaps the kids are better off on grass or moto X.
  5. Why should he? Winning Cardiff doesn't mean he has to enter everything. From what I understand this was organised way before Cardiff anyway.
  6. we have been watching the 250cc since the beginning, and after watching them on Friday night at Kings Lynn it was nice to see that all the boys getting on so well and improving. Some new faces as well which is always great to see. When will we be seeing the 7 of them again as a match?
