Given that an agreement between the two clubs has been announced I`d be surprised if the football club went back on that agreement. In fact i would imagine work will start fairly soon in readiness for the new season.
-
Reports suggesting that Jye Etheridge has suffered a broken collar bone in the first round of the Australian Finals, it is the same collar bone he broke last season.
-
Looks like there`s a major announcement coming tomorrow.
-
Leicester announce signing of Joe Lawlor.
-
Reading this thread, the quicker the speedway season is here the better.
-
Luke Becker confirmed by Wolves this morning.
-
I think a season round a track like Armadale will do Leon good, he should be able to win races at that level and on a track that is a polar opposite to Berwick.
-
Bad news is that Leon Flint hasnt been re-signed by Belle Vue Colts for their NL team, good news is that Kyle Bickley has. IMO its very important for Leon to race at NL level, maybe there`s a NL home track just up the road for him.
-
Mildenhall complete their team with Nathan Ablitt.
-
Jason Edwards confirmed as the next Mildenhall signing.
-
Giving Berwick`s results this season that may not be a bad thing.
-
Dougie Templeton was arguably Berwick`s best rider when I first started to go to speedway, sad day indeed.
-
Sad to hear of the passing of former Berwick rider Dougie Templeton. RIP
-
The decision was taking after talks with Berwick Rangers, looks like there is 1m coming off each straight. http://berwickrangers.com/berwick-speedway/

On big fast continental tracks though, they will find the tighter tracks over here a bit more tricky certainly to begin with. Personally I rate Smetana and IMO he could become a very good scorer for Newcastle over the next few seasons.
-
Surprised that Newcastle have brought two new riders in to complete their team but both, especially Skorja, are at an age where their best days should still be infront of them.
-
Credit to the promotion for this change and good to see the speedway and football clubs working together. Hopefully this will give the riders new lines and a chance at over taking, hopefully the actual track prep will change to as it seems over the last few seasons all the dirt is pilled up on the outside right from Ht1 and if that doesn't change you can have any track shape you like but alas the actual racing will see little change.

I made the mistake yesterday of thinking you could only buy tickets on a day to day bases, then it was pointed out that the prices cover both days which IMO makes them very good value. I bought grandstand tickets and when you pick the print at home option both days tickets are there. Looking at the availability this morning there`s quite a few tickets gone already with the centre section is just about gone but there is still tickets there for the other seated sections.

I would be surprised if there is any speedway up against the SON.
-
Agree with you, this is bound to sell out and probably see the use of the temporary stand on bends three and four.
-
If there is a meeting at Berwick that particular Saturday night which I am sure there wont be our centre maestro can spoil it as much as he wants. I will be in Manchester at the SON.
-
While I wouldn't argue about the SON going to Belle Vue, I doubt they very much to do with ticket prices.
-
Please can I claim the Mr stupid award for today. Tickets and hotel booked, see you in Manchester.
-
Big mistake if there isn't. For example if I am going to travel from Berwick to Manchester then I am going to do both days, 2 tickets for Friday, 2 tickets for Saturday plus hotel is making it a very expensive weekend. Hoping for a very quick re-think.
