  1. And there`s me thinking that the Nicki Pedersen signing was the biggest of the winter.
  2. I`m sorry, that wasnt my intention. I saw this image yesterday and wanted to post it then. IMO its powerful, poignant and worth a thousand words. A fantastic tribute to Danny.
  3. Close Photos from Marc Websdale Speedway Photos's post in Mobile Uploads Tag photo Options Send in Messenger Like CommentShare Quite an image.
  4. Until Glasgow came in with a better offer Berwick also looked at signing his brother.
  5. IMO yes, I think Worrall will do more than a good job for Poole this season.
  6. I have seen some footage of Danny`s last lap at Mildenhall yesterday on social media, looked a good turn out at the stadium.
  7. I find both these posts slightly odd to say the least. I would be the first to admit the Greg Hancock isn't my favourite rider but anyone who is a multi World Champ, has had the longevity that he has and has ridden at the highest class be it SGP or any league throughout his career must be regarded as one of the best ever and a legend of our sport.

  9. Torun extend their contract for another year https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/8094/bsi-extends-torun-sgp-agreement
  10. Sounds like Jye will be good to go for the start of the season https://bellevue-speedway.com/news/jyeonthemend?fbclid=IwAR2ooBpaaFsZLQQHvwJCKw5OT5ci4G00DOR1fmGkCyK5f1DDmlbud5UaN6k
  11. No problem, I am sure there will be a great turn out.
  12. If your post is a pathetic attempt at taking some kind of moral high ground then its just that, pathetic. The passing of Danny Ayres is a tragedy and we as fans have paid our respects by posting messages of condolence on here and other parts of social media, of course there will be other on here closer to the Ayres family who have paid their tributes personally. My post was a perfectly reasonable answer to a perfectly reasonable question posted the other day. How ever hard, the management at both Scunthorpe and Ipswich will need to sign a rider, when that will happen of course is up to each club.
  13. Yes I agree though we at Berwick probably saw the best of him as he finished top of the league averages in 1988 with a 10+ average then played his part in 1989 when Berwick famously won the KOC against Poole.
  14. IMO Championship speedway should be no more than £15 to watch.
  15. Without reductions Scunthorpe have 5-98 to use.
  16. Wish he would take the Cornhill clown with him and with any luck leave him there.
  17. Maybe so but I still think you putting two and two together and coming up with five. It's been mentioned about Crump being Peterborough team manager, that would be closer to the mark than any track return IMO.
  18. My favourite rider from modern times is Mark Loram and from years ago when I first started watching speed way Joe Owen. As a Berwick fan was my favourite was rider to watch is Mark Courtney.
  19. This has been posted by David Ayres on Facebook. Danny's funeral on the 14th of February Go to Mildenhall Stadium which will be open about 12 noon. There will be a play area for the children so families welcome. Danny will be brought in about 1pm and go round the track escorted by the riders. Then on to the Crematorium for 2pm, Those with small children can watch the funeral streamed live to the Stadium as best not to take them to the Crematorium . Party time at the Stadium afterwards. Fish and chip shop will be open and the bar. Music about 7pm. All welcome to give him a send off. This is a celebration not a wake, so colourful clothing please. Danny's favourite colour is pink. All welcome.
  20. Jason Crump is 44, retired from regular racing about 8 years ago and has nothing to prove to anyone, he doesn't need the money you would guess never mind the expense of getting bikes and other bits of kit ready Yes he has rode in a few meetings over the winter but would he drag his family halfway round the World to race for Peterborough, I think not.
  21. Grandstand now sold out. You would imagine that the standing area tickets sales will now pick up meaning the temporary seating stand on bends three and four will guaranteed I would guess.
  22. Giving the announcement made by Newcastle last night, I am guessing that Nathan Greaves will have some competition for his No1 race jacket.
  23. I get the reason why Leon has been stopped from riding for Newcastle but it's two different competitions and as long as there was no fixture clashes I would've thought a young rider getting track time would be encouraged rather than blocked.
