  1. Sad to report the passing of former Edinburgh rider Blair Scott. Blair had his battles with his personal demons which he succumbed to yesterday. RIP Blair
  2. With the current situation its up in the air just what kind of SGP season we will see, if any at all, so those of us with tickets need to wait and see. For my situation I have flights, tickets and hotel booked for Prague, I fear there is little or no chance of being there. I would hope those of us in that situation for any SGP will be able to get a refund if we cant make the GP we have tickets for, though with BSI`s contract running out will they be all that bothered about us fans.
  3. Now the qualifiers have been cancelled I think the GP Challenge should be to, and the longer these lock down restrictions apply I am coming round to the opinion the SGP series should be cancelled to. Clean start for 2021.
  4. Very poor from BSI, there are bound to be people who either cant or dont want to go to the re-arranged date. BSI need to understand that people bought their tickets in good faith about seeing a meeting. Had the meeting been called off due to the weather I suppose they have an argument but not under these circumstances, as I say very poor IMO. Maybe if their contact wasn't coming to an end they would care a bit more.
  5. Seems one or two aren`t so happy with the re-arranged dates of the SoN https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/878370/zuzel-fim-do-spolki-z-bsi-pokazaly-ze-liczy-sie-tylko-wlasny-interes-polska-liga
  6. Enjoyed the documentary, as with most things Glasgow its a very professional production. Well done to all concerned.
  7. Giving the circumstances I am sure that if anyone cant make the re-arranged dates and is wanting a refund they will get one.

  9. Easyjet are still selling tickets for the flights I have booked for Prague, but I fear the chances of using them are somewhere between zero and none.
  10. With talks on going about a re-arranged date, maybe they are waiting to get that date confirmed before giving people the choice of what to do next. I`m sure we will all get our money back if there is no re-arrangement.
  11. That report was written by a Polish journalist for a Polish site so it should come as no surprise on the content.
  12. I would be surprised if any landlord enforced that and took money from the speedway club renting their stadium, especially knowing that would almost certainly mean the end of any future money coming in.
  13. In a perverse way this shut down will probably be saving clubs from making significant losses with low early season crowds etc. You would think that just now clubs outgoings will be just about zero, no wages to be to riders and others and you would think no rent to pay for those clubs with landlords.
  14. I have tickets and hotel booked for Prague but I see very little chance in being there come June. I would be surprised that the Czech borders would remain closed for up to two years however.
  15. Whilst we still have a SGP calendar I would be surprised if we see anything like a full season of GP's as this travel restriction and lock downs around Europe will be here for some time IMO.
  16. Likewise, I bought a season ticket for Berwick in good faith of seeing a full season of racing. At this time I haven't heard of any refund so I suppose the promotion will wait to see what happens and when before making any announcements on refunds or what meetings will be available to season ticket holders.
  17. https://bellevue-speedway.com/news/speedwayofnationspostponed Those with tickets already, it might be an idea to keep hold of them for as there could be a re-staging date.
  18. Giving some of the scenes at supermarkets up and down the Country on social media its clear the advice on staying indoors and avoiding crowds is being largely ignored. That will leave the Government little option the call a lock down with the closure of non-essential shops. On a personal level I have continued to work, I work in the food manufacturing and distribution, even if we do go to lock down I guess that will continue.
  19. If Bewley is worried about not having any work and in need of an income.....he could go out and get a job.
  20. No speedway in GB until at least the middle of April where there will be a review, meaning the SoN meeting must be under severe threat.
