  1. Press Release Speedway Liquidation Newspeed 2003 Limited, the company behind the Newcastle Speedway team, is to go into Liquidation. The Liquidator, Greg Whitehead of Northpoint Insolvency Practitioners, commented ‘the combined impact of Covid and historical HMRC liabilities has led the current director to place the Company into Liquidation. Rob Grant, who is the current sole Director of the Company having been appointed last in 2019 added: ‘Liabilities arising from an HMRC investigation, covering the period before I became a Director, mean that there is no alternative but to wind the company up, but it is hopeful that speedway in the area will continue through a new company. ' It is every intention the new company will honour the benefits of season tickets already purchased aswell as any sponsorship.' End 27 October 2020
  2. Surely where ever possible teams will remain the same as las season, we have already seen clubs announce that.
  3. Looking at the rain currently falling at Old Trafford I think the chances seeing any speedway tonight would be remote.
  4. I only received my email just over a week ago so there`s still a chance that yours hasn't been sent yet. As previously mentioned the email gives you the chance of a refund if you include your order reference number, you then get a reply saying there will be a delay to responding to any emails. Hope you get sorted soon.
  5. Could anyone put together a calendar foe 2021 with any certainty.
  6. Says everything about Garrity as a person that he picked on two people who wouldn't put up any kind of resistance, a bed bound man and a disabled lady. Hopefully Garrity will use his time inside to good use and come out a better person, sadly I doubt he has the sense to do that.
  7. And there in lies the problem, when a rider like either of the Worralls, Charles Wright etc can earn a very decent living riding in two leagues over here why would they want to try Poland or Sweden, maybe a little to much out of their comfort zone.
  8. Once the decision had been made to rush the meeting through to Ht14 then call it I think most of the rules went out the window.
  9. As mentioned Jack Holder was in the original team, hopefully we will find out the reason why he refused his team place. I don`t see Chris Holder getting into the team ahead of either Doyle or Fricke.
  10. I found last night very un-satisfactory as the meeting should never have started, especially with track conditions at the start of heat one and with little prospect of getting the meeting completed. You have to feel for Australia who had to face the top nations in their opening rides but didn't get the chance to race the weaker nations, Team GB and the Czech`s, had they done there would've every chance of challenging for a top three spot. The guys I really feel sorry for are those who hired cherry pickers to view the meeting, those things aren't cheap to hire. Poor guys only saw half a meeting and got a soaking for their troubles.
  11. I finally received my email and will be going for a refund.
  12. So how is Dan Bewley down to ride at Berwick on Wednesday, then Belle Vue on Thursday.
  13. Under the circumstances that was a pretty decent ride from Dan Bewley. Poor from Lambert in the first running.
  14. Lambert will ride again in the top league in Sweden and Poland, with a probable team change in Poland, add on SGP and I would be surprised to see him sign on again for Kings Lynn
  15. Had another good meeting for Wroclaw today mounted on Tai Woffinden`s bikes as he was on Friday at Zielona Gora.
  16. Still waiting, I would've thought that now a new venue has been announced and tickets on sale I though those of us who have had no email would be hearing something.
  17. Decent meeting but ultimately the two points lead for Stal Gorzow will be no where near enough to defend in the second leg tomorrow. Surely even the most ardent of Gorzow fans must realise that Kasprzak must be nowhere near their team for next season.
  18. Stal Gorzow need to wake up, this Final could be over before much longer.
  19. All those rainy nights in Manchester and Workington paying off for Dan Bewley, all credit to him, easily the best rider on show tonight.
