  1. Delays to injured riders is something we all understand and are willing to tolerate, but to leave your customers standing about for any length of time only watching track prep is totally unacceptable.
  2. As already mentioned Danny King guests for Jason Crump while Drew Kemp guests for the injured Henry Atkins.
  3. Giving his travel arrangement Belle Vue must be hoping everything is running to time that will get Dan Bewley from Poland to Manchester tomorrow morning.
  4. Decent meeting and a welcome home win, Scunthorpe had no luck on the night and Berwick took full advantage. Word for Josh Macdonald who wont forget his first visit to Berwick, credit to him that he ended his night with a much deserved win.
  5. Retired while last in his first ride, clutch disintegrated at the tapes in his second ride then retired after being over taken in his third and final ride, certainly a night to forget for Tero.
  6. Somehow speedway presentation needs brought kicking and screaming from the 80`s up to the present day.
  7. Very nice forecast for tomorrow, lets hope for a nice home win https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  8. Bad news for Plymouth and Henry Atkins https://plymouth-speedway.com/henry-atkins/
  9. Giving the original post, no comment is probably a better option.
  10. When there`s a press release and the first thing there has been no fall out, you can bet that`s exactly what`s happened and to be fair to Kings Lynn falling out with Cook is not hard to do. IMO this must've been in the pipe line for a few days.
  11. Very sad to see a speedway track close, unfortunately under the current circumstances I fear Somerset wont be the last.
  12. The way things are going I am sure we might see that before this season is out
  13. Tickets now available via clubs website https://www.berwickspeedway.com/tickets/
  14. Here is a selection of posts on this thread all mentioning the situation regarding our missing rider. I refrained from posting last night! That was a very very bitter pill to swallow! And already, even though it’s only the 1st meeting, a 12 point home defeat is not a good way to start! Some may see this as moaning, but trust me, I speak as a very long time genuine fan of Berwick. I’ve spent thousands following my club over the years, sacrificed family holidays, made excuses to miss birthdays just so I could get to away meetings #imabadfriendWe are seriously going to struggle using RR for Coty. Nobody knows when the South American borders will be opened and even when so, he’ll have to quarantine over here! IMO, that needs sorted ASAP! We need Dany G on rubbish hot home form and that was sadly not so last night as can be said with Spud too.Losing Jye was a big blow for us... immediately throwing more pressure on to Leon and Kyle in the process. Our 2 reserves definitely showed huge promise though. Leon scoring 9&2 which should have been more but for his bike failing when leading heat 4. Racing in the 1st meeting was not brilliant... going to have to turn it around against Scunthorpe! So... Kai Huckenbeck pulled out of the European challenge meeting the other day, the one that fellow German was ‘on stand by’ for... and he was replaced by Ivacic...? Could it be that he maybe couldn’t get to Berwick in time due to racing in Germany on Friday night for Landshut... Which would surely mean no facility? Because he quite clearly wasn’t on stand by, and even if he was, that surely does not give a facility???? In terms of last night, brilliant to be back at a stadium, bar Greg Blair the racing was awful, shock, don’t know why Jye got EX in ht3, but the main question has to be why we haven’t replaced Coty, as it was surely obvious that he wasn’t making it over, or anytime soon. Harris brilliant bar ht1, Leon and NBJ who afaik hasn’t even rode the ‘new’ track before the only bright sparks. Gappmaier worrying, he’s only good for home meetings in the first place... Good to see a not bad sized crowd as well Very disappointing result, could not have foreseen Jyes accident, but think they need to address the Coty situation, giving Dany G an extra ride away from home is a no no.The new track work done does not seem to have made any difference if last nights racing is anything to go by.Good bit of team riding by NBJ for Kyle.Hopefully better next week or can see crowds dwindling. The Coty Garcia situation needs addressing as you say, looking at this I don't see it getting better anytime soon. http://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202105/23/WS60a99543a31024ad0bac0c9b.html Great to be back watching live sport and it is true that sport is nothing without fans. Entry and exit to the stadium seemed to work well and was easy to follow, admittedly I did get to the track earlier than normal so avoided any cueing, exiting was just as easy with the extra doors opened at the back of the stand, so well done to all. Congratulations to Birmingham on their win, thoroughly deserved, they took advantage of Berwick`s bad luck losing Jye Etheridge in Ht3 and ran out comfortable winners. Decent night for our two reserves but last night showed Berwick cannot cover for the absent Coty Garcia medium or long term, if a replacement is called for and in the current circumstances I wouldn't know where another rider could come from, hopefully the management will have looked at this already. Home defeats are no good at anytime, lets hope for a first home win next Saturday against Scunthorpe.
  15. We still have a few days before we start complaining about the Scunthorpe match.
  16. You may well be right though from memory I think young Mr Waite knew exactly what was going on.
  17. Hang on, lets not get holier than thou, I remember Manu Hauzinger turning up on a Friday lunchtime to ride at Armadale for Berwick with shoulder injuries and two knackered bikes in his van. His Berwick career last only a few yards in his first ride, Berwick were granted a facility. I don't have a problem with Birmingham getting a facility for a rider racing in a SEC meeting, but that rider should at least be there to take his place, as fellow Brummie Erik Riss was. Grobauer wasn't so I don't see how Birmingham got their facility.
  18. I have no problem in losing, Birmingham thoroughly deserved their win, better team on the night, well done to them. Its the rights and wrongs of getting a guest facility. In terms of a protest, Berwick may get the same opportunity to do the same later in the season so why rock the boat now.
  19. Meeting off https://poole-speedway.com/news/view/2012-05-24-the-wait-goes-on-as-plymouth-trip-postponed
  20. If he was there then he was there as a spectator and no more, he was on stand by to replace the injured Kai Huckenbeck, he didn't do that. So to that end Birmingham should've lost their guest facility going with a junior rider at No2.
