Berwick v Redcar Saturday 12/06/21 7pm
screm replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We all know the weakness in the Berwick as it the same weakness we have had over the last two or three season. Whether it will be addressed is another matter, home defeats leads to disillusion in the fan base and then dwindling crowds. I`m sure there will be a charm offensive this week from the official site, even anyone actually reads that anymore, but another home defeat to Glasgow could be to much for some. -
I think Berwick now have two free weeks before they tackle Glasgow on the 28th, if there is to be a team change then now seems as good a time as any. Where the rider or riders come from I am not sure, the situation with Garcia needs addressing though as there is no sign he is going to get the green light to fly over here.

Redcar came through their meeting at Glasgow last night with no injuries so teams remain as above, and no issues with the weather. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819 Looking ahead to next weeks meeting, it looks like Berwick will be without Danny Gappmaier as he has been named in a SGP Qualifier in Terenzano Italy. -
Fair comment, but while Cook has sort a decent living in the Championship and Premiership, Bewley has moved on and made himself a better rider.

As I posted earlier jumping from Championship reserve to Polish League 1 is a big step, but that can only be good for Leon.
-
So Leon gets his first ride, made a bit of a jump at the start for which he received a warning and came in last, hopefully team manager Cieslak will give him another go.

Poole v Berwick 9th June 2021. Championship
screm replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be honest I wouldn't take to much notice of any match report on the official site. -
Something tells me your going to regret this, now we can either keep coming back to this post every time Leon knocks in another good score or we can sit back and let Leon himself make a bit of a fool of you.

It very telling about the Berwick team when our reserves are top scoring, excellent performance from them both. Take away their three race wins and our top four only managed two beteen them. -
Everyone did very well last Saturday to get all the races in before the curfew, especially with both teams in the Championship match running R/R.

Plymouth vs Berwick CH 08/06/21
screm replied to Bandits4eva's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Standard Berwick away, in the meeting until the closing stages and then collapse, we don't have riders who are capable of winning heats thirteen and fifteen on a regular bases in tight meetings. -
Belle Vue will be without Sam Mcgurk for a little while who has suffered a fractured left femur after his crash at Mildenhall last Sunday.
-
On top of an already busy week, Leon Flint has picked up an extra meeting this coming Friday where he makes his debut for his Polish club ROW Rybnik in their home meeting with Unia Tarnow. Quite a step up but hopefully Leon will be at No8 so hopefully will get a chance at some point.

Lewis Kerr aims to be back for the SGP Qualifier at Glasgow on June 19th.
