Why cant he use his current average, after all that's the average the Glasgow have used to sign him on. -
Hopefully for them I hope Plymouth have done their sums on signing Lawson and don`t end up like Eastbourne. As a young Brit I feel for Edwards, but its rules themselves that let this happen where the problem is, IMO under-21 riders should have their averages protected until they reach that age and should be in the reserve positions.

Berwick`s task of avoiding the wooden spoon just got a whole lot harder. thankfully we still have Newcastle -
Eastbourne can now be added to the list of teams we have lost since the turn of the Century, just over twenty years ago. How many teams will come to the tapes for 2022 Coventry Hull Oxford Newport Swindon Lakeside Exeter Stoke Workington Reading Rye House St Austell Buxton

Only when there`s an airport and a burger involved. -
Cook taking time away from speedway due to mental issues, so Lawson to Glasgow looks very possible now.

Leon Flint scored 10+1 for Valsarna in the away meeting at Indianerna.

Condolences to all family and friends. RIP

Transfer deadline day just a couple of days away, Glasgow need to get a shift on. -
Gutted for the supporters of Eastbourne speedway who have lost their speedway through no fault of their own. The riders will find other teams, some already have. Very poor management from the Eastbourne promotion to allow things to get to this stage, surely they could've done something before now.

Edinburgh have no meeting this Saturday, anyway surely if Eastbourne were here as was scheduled Luke Crang would've been racing for Berwick against the Eastbourne NL team. -
Getting any team to agree to a challenge match would be just about impossible IMO especially at this point in the season, and an individual meeting just as impossible, not unless you are offering mega money of course. Berwick`s promotion are at least putting on a meeting so credit to them for that, but I do agree with you about charging full whack for what is not much more than a practice session.

Very poor from Eastbourne management.

22/08/21 1600 Newcastle v Kent (Champ)
screm replied to Old Crusader's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Batchelor has used Sheffield to get a Championship team, it has worked, so credit to him for that. -
Unfortunately today`s British Under-19 Final at Mildenhall has been abandoned after Ht5 due to rain. Leon Flint had won his first ride while Kyle Bickley came off while leading his first race.
-
To be fair to the promotions they are caught between a rock and a hard place as to when to call off a meeting. Do they chance it on an iffy forecast hoping firstly the forecast allows for the meeting to go ahead and secondly enough people turn up for a wet meeting without them losing a fortune, or do they call it off early enough to save riders and supporters the time money and effort in getting to a stadium only for it to fall victim of the weather.
-
To be fair the communication between the majority of clubs and its supporters is rotten to put it mildly. But in the situation Eastbourne finds itself in you would think more effort should be made to keep their fans updated on fixtures etc.
