  1. As with Berwick at Glasgow on Friday the scoreline does not reflect just how good this match was with many passes and re-passes with Chris Harris`s last to first in Ht15 the highlight.
  2. Problem is, like with any business, customer confidence and a good reputation needs to be built up over weeks, months, years, its lost and gone over night. Birmingham`s management need to work on the first bit to stop the second part happening.
  3. Chris Harris has been selected to ride in the SEC Qualifier in Nagyhalasz on Saturday May 21st. As things stand there is no meeting on that date for the Berwick Championship team, there is a stand alone Berwick Bullets meeting with Kent Royals.
  4. Weather set fair for racing later. Berwick have seen off Birmingham and Edinburgh reasonably comfortably, I think Oxford will prove a tougher test but the home side should have enough to get the job done.
  5. I was quite happy that Bickley didn't on again for Berwick for this season, but its fair to say his scores so far this season are not up to where they should. Hopefully he gets things sorted sooner rather than later, Disappointing that Berwick couldn't get closer to the home team but I think 36pts will prove to be about par for visiting teams this season so no disgrace.
  6. Nobody want to see Birmingham gone, but then nobody wants to spend time, money and effort going to a speedway meeting only to see it abandoned due to a problem that should've been covered by the Birmingham promotion.
  7. Utter shambles, doing the reputation of Birmingham speedway and the new promotion no good what so ever. First on Birmingham`s list of priorities should be a second ambulance or a medical room at the stadium where an injured rider can stay while a county ambulance turns up, but more important a second paramedic is a must so a meeting such as last night could continue. Best wishes to Josh Auty on a speedy recovery.
  8. Personally I wouldnt go anywhere near Sedgeman.
  9. Any team with the ambition of making the play offs must look at Birmingham away as a realistic chance opportunity of an away or at least a point or two. Berwick must do that tomorrow.
  10. Berwick made reasonably light work of beating Edinburgh. As others have said Josh Pickering was spectacular to watch, thankfully he was able to walk away from his Ht15 crash.
  11. Incredibly sad news, condolences to all family and friends https://britishspeedway.co.uk/miscellaneous/statement-nigel-pearson/
  12. Probably the most surprising result of the season so far, that is until Berwick win at Edinburgh later on.
  13. Is Theo Pijper likely to be fit after his grass track crash last weekend.
  14. You can also add to the above list that Chris Harris races for his French team Morzise in their meeting with Marmande.
  15. Three Berwick riders have meetings today, Kyle Bickley takes part in the Under-21 semi final at Mildenhall, Ricky Wells comes into the Newcastle team as a guest in place of the injured Bradley Wilson Dean, while Leon Flint is in Germany taking part in the MSV Herxheim European Open. Good luck to all.
  16. Enjoyable meeting last night in front of what seemed a reasonable enough crowd, Oxford were in with a chance of a point right up to the last race, unfortunately a bit of a desperate move from Jordan Jenkins saw him rightfully excluded and that was that.
  17. A Berwick team winning at Armadale. Worlds gone crazy.
  18. Weather is AOK this morning and set to stay that way. After last nights away win up at Armadale the home side should have enough to see off Oxford but a score line to something similar to what we saw last week with our Championship team against Birmingham.
  19. I doubt very much that any Championship club could survive on crowds like that long term.
  20. Berwick are a decent team this season so should do well at home and against the poorer team run up a big score, as happened last night. Every home rider won at least one race and as first meetings go this was a job well done by the home side, I am sure there will be tougher tests to come. Birmingham looked a team who are going to struggle, sad to see how poor Josh Auty was. I know he has had his troubles but he looked a shadow of the rider who was a good scorer at Championship level not so long ago. Hopefully he gets his equipment sorted or there will be a decision to make from the Birmingham management, not unless the rider the decision for them.
  21. Car parks likely to be very busy tonight as the fun fair is much bigger than the ones we normally have at Shielfield. It looks like you can park directly behind the main stand with only the area opposite the turnstiles available and next to the turnstiles to.
  22. Leon Flint scores 3pts from the reserve position in todays Ben Fund held at Peterborough.
  23. You are missing the point, a footballer doesn't sign for a team then is unavailable for that team because they are away playing for another team in another fixture.
  24. In no other sport could you sign a rider who is immediately unavailable for your first fixture.
