Well thought out arguement there. What happens if Hancock drops out his comments during interview last night wasnt exactly full of commitment. -
Wild Cards For 09
screm replied to beesbarmyarmy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Subs fine where he is and so is the Global Superstar, who will get one of next years GP picks. As others have said Sajfutdinov & Holder should get the other two.The last is a choice is between Pedersen,Pavlic,Lingren. -
1st choice should be Smolinski has he hasnt done anything wrong and must be gutted but if there is going to be a change then it should go to the under21 champ whether he is in next year or not.

Chris Holder For Next Weekend's Gp

Sajfutdinov should get this chance, yes I know he is in the GP series next year but he is current under 21 champ and isnt this his home track in Poland. -
Like to see Emil Sajfutdinov given a go.

Meldrums Milestone
screm replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
If the event in France is a FIM recognised meeting then IOW would have been allowed guests under the rules. We had a similar situation couple of weeks ago when two of our riders were away racing in the Euro Pairs. Good news if Doyle is one of our guests on tuesday,we should also get a guest for Tamas Sike. -
Nicky Pedersen (Denmark) rings good old Uncle Ole (Denmark) to tell him he needs another week to get fit to stop that nasty Aussie Jason from taking his title.Easy says Uncle Ole........ Wide of the mark or close to home.

Takes some doing but looks like they`ve managed it.

Newcastle Individual Meeting

If Franc is just 2nd behind King in the averages the does that mean the 5 riders with lower averages the Franc are on a fiddle to and if so where will they be next season,Henry,Stoddart etc.Its so easy to accuse a rider of an average fiddle without to much evidence,if thats true then the why would the Diamonds promotion keep any rider like that in their team. -

Agree with all of that, everyone apart from 1 person knew there would be a poor turn out with those prices but Peter never seems to learn. In the past we have had a least 1 GP rider so a small price increase was understandable but not this time.End of season individual meetings are not popular anymore unless those who promote such meetings give something worth watching or set admission prices at a competitive level or hopefully both,on saturday neither was true and you got a poor turn out. -

Peter Juul was quite good at Berwick last night, looks very professional and might be a shrewd signing for the Tigers. -
Why do you presume he will be one of the wildcard picks for next year,he doesnt deserve it.Got one of the picks this year so cant expect the powers that be to be so charitable next.Even without this injury his chances of being in the GPs next year were slim anyway.

Your clearly void of any vision or sense. Gollob took Crump off, simple as that.Ref could have excluded Gollob for stupitity for putting himself in that position. -

Then you would have been wrong, ref got it correct although why Gollob put himself in that position beggers belief as he was in a safe 2nd place and an easy place in the final.Ref also got it right when excluding Pedersen as he clearly turned left when there was plenty room on the outside going into turn 3. Good to see Nicholls clumping Dryml after their race, what Dryml did was out of order. -

Poor meeting infront of a poor crowd but if Waite puts up admission prices then what do you expect.Schlein was a deserved winner, only headed for three quarters of a lap by Piszcz in the final. With Parker pulling out with illness and Wilkinson pulling out with bike trouble that did little to improve things although I thought Glasgows new rider Juul looked good and might be a decent signing on last night. The down side of last night was Aarnios crash, dont know whats he has done to deserve all this bad luck of late as none of his crashes sre his fault.Fenced by Burrows and then last night no where to go when Kerr fell in-front of him. -

Might do the same,if I do go I normally tape GP but with Franchetti in it our wonderful presenter Mr. Barrie will no doubt give regular up-dates. Clouded over this afternoon and light rain forecast. -

Dont mind paying extra for extra but at Berwick tomorrow supporters are being asked to pay more for less,12hts 1 semi-final and 1 final or £15 for 14hts. -

Not a bad line up but £15 adult,£13 OAP/consessions will put some supporters off.Dont know when Waite will learn that its better to have more fans through the gate paying the same as any other saturday night than put up gate money every Bordernaplis,Ive seen the point in the past as we have had GP riders Crump,Adams,Anderson and Loram but theres hardly top class Elite League riders in this 1 with every respect to Schlien & Howe.Looked on the offical site and Waite says its the biggest meeting and will attract the biggest crowd of the season,is he in for a shock.Contrast this to Meldrums meeting in a few weeks where you have people organising it who want to put on a good meeting for an ex-Bandit and not screw the supporters.Rant over. -
Just an obsovation but Im sure there was a plan, anyway he did Berwick proud as he has all season. Now please Mr.Waite get his name on a 09 contract.
-
Fair play to Woffinden, great star for the future.Well done to Adrian, another rostrum place for Berwick after Rempala last year.If the riders chose their gates for the final it was a bit of a strange decision by Adrian to go off gate 4 in yellow as Doyle was the only winner from there in the last qualifing race.

Live Polish Speedway On The Internet
screm replied to Blazeaway's topic in International World of Speedway
Completely right Sub,since watching the coverage of Polish speedway Ive become bored with our so called Elite League. We dont have to go like for like with the Poles but surely we can learn something about how to set up teams so the best riders will return over here. -
Chris Harris And Scott Nicholls
screm replied to paul84's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In the mind of Subedei,Scott Nicholls. -
Nicholls will get a GP pick if he doesnt get there by right. As Bjerre has got through thats going to put the pressure on B.Pedersen has he is another Dane.Think they will look to Aussie for another pick so that might be Holder in and on the 2nd half of tonights meeting what about Pavlic for another pick.

Highlights from interview.Track is crap and a disgrace,Walaseks footrest hit my back wheel,Im to old to get a GP pick.
