  1. Agree but Stoke are running their Pride of the Potteries meeting next saturday so that rules out Complin.
  2. No need, some people just like making mischief. It was said last night that any changes to the field would be put on the offical site.Obviously if Edinburgh make the play-off final then their riders wont be at Berwick but lets see what happens in the next day or two.
  3. Would that be to replace Belle Vues Austrailian meeting dodger. Seemed to do ok last night.
  4. Dave peet was at the GP last in Bydgoszcz, are you thinking what Im thinking. Disagree with you Peets lack of forward thinking,Frank Facher wasnt a bad spot.
  5. Its a shame that some riders are not going to be there,Howe,Rymel and every possibility the Edinburgh riders wont be there but Im sure there will be riders only to willing to come into the line up. Ben Wilson was announced as part of the meeting next week at tonights Berwick v Redcar match, the other place is going to an as yet unamed rider from Denmark.
  6. Id like to see,if other meetings allow, for the new PLRC to get an invite.
  7. Josef Francs been ruled out for the rest of the season so thats one place up for grabs.
  8. Looking forward to seeing Jonasson again as he has always been a good visiting rider at Shielfield, and by the looks of things it may be a while before we see him over here again. He has been banned from all speedway by SVEMO,the ban lasts from April 26th to May 24th next season.
  9. The promotion are certainly intent on seeing out the 2009 season with a bang.Looks a very good field being put together and Im sure the remaining four places will please everyone.
  10. Howarth certainly caught the eye as did Richardson who made some good overtakes, with these riders and others maybe the NL is doing its job and providing riders for PL and eventually EL.
  11. The rumour last night was it was another promoter who put in a complaint when his team visited Berwick recently that lead to the delay,we have had this ambulance in these circumstances for a while without any problems untill last night. As it was said last night the equipment inside the ambulance is first rate so there arent any rider saftey issues but the referee wasnt happy so there was a delay. On the meeting, decent meeting with good races. For the home team,Blair and McPhail were good but they experience the Sheilfield track every week so you would expect that.Jamie Courtney was in the action with a couple of wins but I thought it was Scott Richardson and Kyle Howarth who caught the eye, both riders have had either little or no track experience but they looked good particularly Richardson who made some good overtakes. Good meeting and a worth while excercise for the promotion who might just have seen a rider or two for the future.
  12. A good meeting once it got going, several riders caught the eye.I will leave off the ones with experience of our track,to that end I thought Howarth,Richardson and Wrathall all did well and it would be worth keeping an eye on these riders for future teams. Nice gesture by the promotion for everyone to have a free drink on them when we were waiting for a replacement ambulance.
  13. Weather in Berwick is bright and brezzy,we had a bit of rain earlier this morning but thats blowing through. The forecast is for today to be bright amd dry but its going to be windy.Hopefully this will be a good meeting and its a good idea from our promotion to let the younger riders to have a meeting of their won.
  14. Think Jake Mudgway will be there to as long as other meetings allow,he has been at Shielfield a bit recently for a practice.
  15. Got to admit Im finding it hard to come up with a reason to give any Brit rider a Wild Card for next season.Just because we have proably the biggest GP doesnt mean we have a right to a certain amount of riders.
  16. Clews in the GPs,they wont know what hit them. I dont think there was anything sinister about Sky putting saturdays GP on the red button, remember it started on normal Sky for the 1st hour before changing.I think it has more to do with the amount of other sports Sky covered live that day,Spanish football and the like.
  17. Pure class indeed,Hancock and Pedersen from the back but the away team are fighting back.
  18. Cracking meeting, great ride from Pedersen & Hancock in Ht15 to give the home team a two point win.
  19. Agree but under the old one off system was it easier to be World Champ,Id say it was.I mean would Egon Muller ever have been World Champ under this GP system.
  20. If you are looking at current GP riders then you can add Leigh Adams to the list.
