Update from Nicki Pedersen. Have now talked to chief physician Morten Schultz who is the pelvic surgeon at OUH in Odense. A plan has been made for my operation, which will take place this afternoon. They will be 2 surgeons during the operation and I feel completely confident that they will get everything put back in place. Subsequently, we must together make a rehabilitation plan for me and ensure me the best possible plan for my further course. Since it's a complicated breakup, I know the time will be long, but I'm mentally ready to fight to get back.

Quite happy to be proved wrong and I wish Smith all the best, but there is nothing, from his previous attempts at Championship speedway, that would suggest he is the answer to Newcastle`s problems.
