  1. Given the events at Newcastle over the last couple of years this comes as little surprise sadly. Rob Grant clearly didn't do his homework while taking over the club then found himself way over his head. There were/are several offers of help but they seem to fallen on deaf ears so the club have went from one disaster to another. At the bottom of this of course is the fans who now have lost their speedway and they have my upmost sympathy, slim chance of finding a new owner but a slim chance is better than no chance at all.
  2. It would appear that even these Diamonds aren't forever.
  3. That`s not what their press release says, interesting you quote the situation that Berwick found themselves in last year regarding Leon Flint as that was the case I was thinking about, this isn't an anti Edwards and/or Mildenhall rant, best of luck to them and for what its worth I see no issue with a rider racing in all three leagues be it Jason Edwards, Leon Flint or anyone else. Here`s the press release via Facebook JASON EDWARDS Many of you will have seen that Jason has been given the opportunity as a Rising Star with King's Lynn in the Premier League. We are sure you will want to join us in congratulating Jason on this most deserved chance to ride in the top league of British Speedway. Not only is Jason one of the most improved riders in the sport this season he is a fine and professional young man. We can confirm to supporters that this has no effect on Jason continuing to ride for the Fen Tigers and he will lead us into action this Sunday when the visitors are the Leceister Lions Cubs
  4. Giving the news coming out of the club, yet to be confirmed, I guess the 2022 Diamonds team wont see anymore changes.
  5. Holding the riders Championship on a Wednesday night at Poole is just plain ridiculous.
  6. Congratulation to Jason Edwards on signing for Kings Lynn as their rising star. How can he still ride for Mildenhall, I thought you weren't allowed to ride in all three leagues.
  7. You are probably right though there has been some odd goings on in other leagues around Europe.
  8. Woffinden is a decent rider, and probably able to hang on to his SGP spot for a season or two yet, but as a serious World Championship contender I don't think so.
  9. Best wishes to everyone involved in Danny`s meeting, hopefully the weather behaves and there is a bumper crowd.
  10. A Berwick home him sees them firmly stay at the top of the NDL, but Mildenhall pushed them all the way, in fact with just a couple of races to go all results were still possible. Kyle Bickley is indeed an enigma, that sees him ride so well at NDL level yet struggles at Championship.
  11. Sticking to the rules seems to be speedway`s achilles heel at times as there is always the special dispensation or in the interests of speedway get out. Anyway for the riders who are racing and for those who are watching Saturday is dry, a bit cloudy but its dry and forecast to stay that way.
  12. Kyle Bickley continues to race at Championship level having signed for Newcastle.
  13. Every chance that Chris Harris will be on the phone offering his services.
  14. Personally I can`t see how it can be right, possibly even legal, that a Polish Federation can recall a Danish rider and stop him racing in a UK league. Surely the rider has a say, maybe Poland is where NKI wants to race.
  15. http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31208&fbclid=IwAR0pYBP-iOS3zIkigm6_FsEVBgp9AL_v2mP2Hi2G_1TPRjDB3iDf71ki_u8
  16. Not so sure that this is part of the dialectic in Yarm these days, though listening to Havelock you`d never know.
  17. Adam Ellis now taking part in Saturday`s SEC Challenge meeting in Krsko this Saturday, he replaces the injured Janusz Kolodziej
  18. Hopefully he gets what needs changing changed and can do better in his next fixture. You wonder if it would do Leon better if he made himself available for the Polish Under-24 league, he has flirted with Poland with ROW Rybnik in the past.
  19. Wells along with a number of riders at Championship level do just enough for their current clubs to continue in the team while making sure their average is attractive enough to other clubs who are looking for riders for the following season should they find themselves without a club.
  20. If that`s the same Benny Johansson, then some Berwick fans are still getting therapy from his one and only meeting for the club. Instantly forgettable.
